I hope someday to make it out there to pay my respects. My Uncle (R.I.P) helped design the memorial. He was a retired architect when the incident happened. Shook him to his core. He was most proud of this.
Thanks for this one. I've thought about going there some day, but it looks a little beyond my current ability. Carrying me along made me feel like I walked it. I happened to be in that area the day the fire started, so this whole tragedy hit a little closer to home.
you are SO welcome! Thank you for taking the time to leave me a comment 💛 because I do strive to make my videos feel like you’re walking there with me... 🙏💜
I have lived in Prescott for 35 years. Losing our Hotshots in the Yarnell Fire devastated our whole community. If you go to Prescott the Pioneer Cemetery on Iron Springs Rd is where they are buried. Beautiful view and very respectful. Community businesses donated everything.
My friend Bobby visited there. I will visit the next time I am out there. My dad has been living there for a long time is how I became connected to the tragedy. Eternal be their memories.
Jenni, you did an awesome job depicting the trail and what it meant. The video really captured the reason why this trail was made and the men that fought that fire that took their lives. As a retired volunteer firefighter of 11 years, I know how hard the work is and the time it takes to learn the trade to be able to put yourself on the line when the time comes. You do it because someone has to do it. Thank you for sahring this and I'm glad you made this. I liked it so much I am going to watch it several times.
Jenni, you snuck up on me again! My roommate worked for Cal Fire, and later USFS back in the '80's, as a firefighter, but left because the work was still considered to be "a man's world", and they kept trying to promote her into a desk job, to get her out of the field. Another great video! 😘
Thank you Jenni .After seeing the terrain it is HARD to take in what a wild fire like this was like and the happy life's that these hot shots hand taken away in just a short time .🇺🇸🙏📖
Hi Jenni, sadly I remember this well, I couldn't believe this had happened again. These young men should not have died that day, God be with them. Thank you so much for taking me along I had know idea that this trail had been constructed and this beautiful memorial made to remember this tragic event. Your truly a wonderful young lady and tell your Dad thanks for his service. 👍👍👍👍👍❤🇺🇸
Jenni , what an incredible video , I have no words to describe the emotions that you gave to me and to all of us that watched this from you. Absolutely Incredible !! Thank You
That was good! This is the first time I've heard of or seen a video about Granite mountain. I loved the circle! I can barely hike anymore an saved money to go to Arizona when I retired 6 years ago. Was thinking about moving there from Indiana. Never made an probably never will but I been watching watching wonderhussy an pin in the atlas and am learning alot about the area. Thanks for taking me along.
Welcome along! Glad you could make it! I hiked the alligator juniper they saved a week before...it's on my page somewhere. It's such an intense story. Arizona is great! I visit regularly to see my Dad, and try to hike every time I go.
Hearing those jets at the end reminded me - you weren't terribly far from the US Navy's "Top Gun" flight academy. The best combat pilots in the world train there.
@@JenniGives next time you are on Weavers reach me. I can explain the different areas the different species hang out. Sorry you got startled. Hope you return. I also am a snake magnet.
@@Arizona_Desert_Walker I will totally return. That area is up by my dad's house. lol What does it mean to be a snake magnet? I don't remember signing up for that LMAO
Having now seen a couple of rattlesnakes, now they'll be easier to spot! Glad you aren't the type to molest them. Fun fact: Most rattlesnake bite victims are young males, Most commonly bitten areas are hands, with a few bites to the face. Posing for photos, I guess!

That is a wonderful share 😀🙌 I hope you get to go
Hey Jenny hon, thanks for the video and it was about time too!
Yes it was! Yay for back on Thursday!
This happened the day after I retired from my fire department. Thank you SO MUCH for doing this. Very well done!..
oh wow Gerry. You are so welcome.

Go to Yarnell Hill fire Revelations blog and talk to Fred about the less arduous route.
Did you take pics or videos if you were in area for that fire and is there a public area to view them?

😂 one day I’ll be able to give advanced consistent warnings of incoming videos Charles. I’ll get there one day lol
I kept thinking, "Be careful Jenni". The trail didn't look that safe to me. Lots of Love, James
I feel like a Doctor Doolittle all the time 😂

What a beautiful location for a hike. Wonderful views of the valley.
It is such a somber place too.

😎 thats what that was. It was ALL day. I finally saw a few at the end of the day
Thanks for sharing this. I hadn’t heard of this tragic event. Your video inspired me to research it. Thankful for heroes such as these individuals.
There is a movie about it, Only the Brave. I cannot watch it though, I heard it was very well done.
Great job .... awesome .... thanks for making this ....

Welcome along for the addventures!! That would my buddy Ele! We hike when I am in Arizona.
Just saw your channel love it
Thank you Mark 🐝🌵 welcome!
what kind of rattler? We have many types on the Weavers
Good question.
Maybe a diamond back… it happened so fast, all I saw was rattler curling up and I jumped!

Great subject , but you move the camera around way to fast ....
I will work on that 🐝
it often doesnt “seem” like I am...until I get home at editing.
