Really enjoyed that video, probably the best kart racing video you've put together so far! Good work on the race too, keep it up buddy!
+Lufferov thanks man more just like this one coming shortly
Nice job avoiding the mess turn 1 in the beginning...and the few drivers who spun out in front of you. You really don't get a sense of how fast the Karts go watching from the stands or sideline but videos like this put that into perspective..80MPH 1 inch off the ground..cool! Better luck next time...see you out there
+Jason Cobb thanks man this stuff is a blast
cool man. I used to work for italkart way back in the day. I was 19 at the time so about 16 years ago. I went to vegas with them and we dominated. i was a mechanic for the team. this video brings back a lot of memories.
+Vance Romance awesome you got any spare chassis haha jk but I do wonder how different they were back then. anyway glad to bring back some good memories
Kick ass racing dude, its tough to keep all those fast guys behind you! Good job, great video.
Cheers man thanks for watching
Awesome video. I love all that telemetry!!! Good racing man....thanks
cheers glad you enjoyed
I'm liking the videos of these races man! I live in the UK and I've done a little bit of shifter kart racing myself but not on the level your at, I wish I was racing like this. You can see how hard you have to work with the wheel and the bumps on the road looking bumpy as hell! I'm subscribing cause I like the racing and the camera views mate, keep at it!
cheers man glad you like the videos and welcome to the team
Cheers bud, I have a question for you mate - Do you have a PlayStation 4?
Hey Matt, Pretty Cool to see the track from the drivers point of view, great clip! look forward to the rest :)
+Tony Roberts thanks tony and yes more to come working on them right now
That seemed like a bumpy circuit, well done 👍 great camera work.
Yes it was. new cameras have better video.
That over/under pass into turn 1, lap 8. Beautiful.
Yes indeed one of my favorites. we were so close
True Racer
I thought we were going to touch !! That was a fun one for sure!
Looks like some good clean laps that you cut. Great job looking ahead to avoid troubles... I'm a big Super Nats fan even though I'm a dirt oval guy.
+UncleReemus18 cheers thanks man do you go to this event
Great racing , I can tell your tires started going off. You were sliding a lot !
Nice Matt, bumpy ride that looked like it hurt
+Cam_from_nj Sim Racing pain makes me know im still alive. haha it is not bad at all unless you hit something like I did at the lancaster races
true racer what is your shift points on your mychorn from when the green light is activated until you hit the redline. i am trying to set up my six different shift points on my mychron. but i keep hearing people say different things i wanted your take so i can have some type of baseline.
+shifterkart 28 ummmm I never set up my shift points I just go off of feel.
I watched this, had no idea you were in it, but awesome job on the video... it dropped some frames at points, but considering all the stats up there, it is well put together.
+Crazysworld91 yea I have made some improvements since and now all my Karting videos are at 60 fps
Schumacher has raced in SKUSA. Congrats on getting in there =)
+Aireisor simracing n drifting not to take a piss in your corn flakes or matt's but any one can go to super nats. It's making the final that's the challenge
Ok, good to know! =)
+ian bushy how did he go s2 on his first race?
+w/ only S1 has a restriction, S2 and S4 are free entry for the stock honda classes
+ian bushy free entry eh, love to see u get a free ride at the supernats, let alone compete at this level!
ha free lol I like that
What a sense of speed! Good vid
excellent drive! incredible video. how did you make this video? what cameras/gps/sensors were you using? one of the best kart racing videos out there...
cheers man glad you liked it. it was done with gopros and my mychron for the data. then I used race render to put the date onto the video
This looks like so much fun. These karts look like they're tough on the wrists! Also, the switchback doesn't seem to be working for you...
+Fabian Leiva yes it definitily works the hands but I dont feel any pain yet.
How do you manage to overlay the mychron data over the gopro video?
+Braden Eves Racing I use Race Render you have to change the mychron data to a CSV file and some other things I will be doing a video on it some time
+True Racer that would be awesome if you did a video on it!
how difficult is it to keep good feel for the brake when its so bumpy? good race !!
+Jeroen Brink to be honest It becomes second nature and I don't even conciously think about it
great video 👍how do you get the RPMs on the video?
+Lucas Almeida thanks man I take the data from my mychron and upload it thru race render
what did you run at supernats
Keep it going,mate!
+Konstantinos Gionakis wild do sir
I race Iame x30 junior TAG in the UK! Good video, power is amazing! was thinking about Skusa this year but didn't have the time, I am only 16 haha.
+Tom Rafferty skusa runs great event I would run them if you can
+True Racer might think about it mate, everyone in America needs to try racing in the UK though it's good
Why aren't you in senior yet?
im not 30
True Racer I'm talking about Tom, I'm 16 as well and race Rotax Senior. As soon as I turned 16 I went from Rotax Junior to Rotax Senior
how do you get that overlay with revs speed etc
how do I get into this?!? looks like such a blast!
+Seanzord yes it is awesome and well you came to the right place if you wanted to get into it or atleast learn more about it. if you are serious about getting into it the first thing I would recommend is to find your local track and head down there one of the race weekends, this will allow you to see all the big classes that run and talk with some of the other drivers/mechanics, which will answer a lot of initial question but also create a lot more question which you can feel free to ask me
+True Racer Thanks, Brother. Your videos are great!
What place did you finish in?
+TheBillcamz this race was 23 I think
Do you live in Vegas Brudda, if so maybe we could meet up for some Racing talk & a beer! Great video and good racing..
I dont live in vegas but do go from time to time. message me your contact info and I will try and hit you up next time im out there
Man. Three of us were watching this and we're kinda pissed off. You got passed like 2 times. DOn't get passed next time unless you want me to fill in.
haha cheers gotcha
+True Racer :-)
My wife just said she "couldn't" have done better to ease your pain. ;-) Love ya buddy. -Tim
awesome dude awesome.
What was your number?
I was 117x
True Racer ok thanks
love it!
+sharkehuk Glad to hear that
I really wish I had a Tag so I can race at Supernats but I only have a L206 with a couple wins under my belt :(
Yo repping the Praga yes bro 🏎💨💨
Yes sir still got it
class they don't offer s3 right
+Brandon Brewer Correct I ran S2
Memo Gidley races go karts? Isn't he in the Tudor Championship?
+Edward Zeta there are a lot of real world racers who still do karting
Cool
Love that friends don't let friends apex early T....So true!!
I'm no pro championship winning karter but it looked to me like you weren't on the power early enough coming out of the turns. maybe spend some time in a nonshift kart like a 4stroke or a low powered kart where early throttle is everything, just for s bit of practice for the shifter kart
+Alexander Wilmot You don't need a slower kart to learn getting on the throttle as soon as possible you can easily learn that through driving a shifter
+Alexander Wilmot possibly but when I was looking at he data most of my time lost was in the entry parts of the corners where I was braking too early and overslowing the kart
awesome fun....
cheers glad you enjoyed it
dude dies at 1:52
+Mason Cruz yea they did not allow us to do a warm up lap I did the same thing in another race but it was not as bad and I could keep going
front brakes werent working all weekend on that PCR lol we could never figure it out
well your chassis is like a rubber after that race
👌👌🚘🚘🏁🏁
You need to go out wider that turn kill my speed on the strait away
+trueracer
+Ryan Lewis yea are probably correct I did feel like I was slow thru there
:) Looks like you were losing tire grip the last 1 1/2 laps. If U hadn't, I bet you would've kept those last 2 Possitions.
+skilewis agreed
U probably know this now, buy you gotta shift at 12k.
totally cool gf/wife....shes a keeper
+DoDaDo Charge indeed
Tire meltdown, no valve stem synchro, typical
