    The older man won, the kid forfeit because the older man was about to promote his pawn to a second queen. The kid was basically out of time on his clock and had no hope of getting another queen or anything. Hope this helped

      nah, he runs into time trouble too often
      ends up having to make most of his moves in the last minute or last 30 seconds (or last 10 seconds, he was saved by increments, here)

The thing to be noted is that, vishy is so interested in pragg that he already has a plan in mind to go somewhere else and discuss the nuances in detail.. this doesn't usually happen unless the loser asks for it . So Vishy doing it readily means he sees praggu's talent, also probably has some sentiments as a co tamilian and wants to help the boy out in the best possible way

    It was nice, actually little boy has an advantage just before he lost his queen but after that he lost his game... Anand was facing some difficulty before that but the mistakes done from little guy makes anand in a comfortable position. In the final time boy got another opportunity to get Anand's queen but he not use it and going to over attack in another area, that's movement onwards anand come back to the game with fully advantage. Even though Nice game from little boy... against a CLASSIC PLAYER...

      Watching the game on the real board is also not that hard. It's far from a bad angle to watch the game. I actually prefer coverage of the live board over a digital one, especially when it is in HD.

      @@salakameli Most of the time I also prefer a 2d board. However, chessbase India has done an excellent job of covering the game and so here I have no problem with watching the live board. I prefer it here because it's at a perfect angle and it's in HD. Chessbase India is not obliged to add a digital board as it is unnecessary. I've seen many channels with horrible live coverage and there a digital board is obviously preferred, but not here.

    Praggu played really well in the end. Even under 10 sec. He set up a trap against Vishy which will either fork his queen or force draw by perpetual checks(12:13 that Ke8 move). But Vishy being Vishy noticed that and prevented the trap(see praggu's reaction after Vishy's Qg4), so at the end Praggu resigned

    At 7:58 prag made a nice move which would have led to check to Anand's king, but Anand distracted the boy by killing the soldier with the camel on the complete other side of the board..Prag won hearts. He is a genius indeed

      Same is Anything you watch, be it cricket even T20, the problem is chess or any other sports originated in India is not as commercialized as the other games. Btw chess need huge amount of strategic power to understand and to play. Any one can only win this if he can think 3 steps ahead of the opponent. Superstrategy game played to increase mind and plan ahead of time. Hope you understand my lecture, imagine this as PubG without graphics

    Great match, love to see these two go at it. Prag already a very good GM. Vishy's experience was just oozing out of him, some of those tactics by Vishy were very good, the maneuvering to pin the K against the Q using the N at 9:44 was really very sneaky!
