We must accept that our boys individually has flaws but when they're together they create a good harmony or personally I think the best harmony. They fill each others vocal weaknesses and that makes it their strength as a vocal group.

We know here in the Philippines it's easy to find great singers and great dancers, but to find singers who can harmonize well, can dance with good synchronization, and can sing while dancing live is hard to find. So don't waste our chance to support them.

A'Tin just be more discerning on whose opinion should really matter. A good number of foreign reactors are unfortunately (though they won't admit) taking advantage of Filipinos' character flaw of the need to be validated and liked by foreigners. It stems from our past colonial experience and has transcended up to the present generation. The sad thing is these people earn good money from it. I don't think all of these reactors are doing this purely for art sake. Fact is we know our boys better so we should not be bothered and take this reactor's opinion to heart. Peace! Hi Co-A’TIN kung hindi nyo gusto mga comments nya sa SB19, tigilan na ang pag-recommend ng videos for him to react to. Minsan din kasi piliin natin mga reactors na ita-tap natin although lahat naman sila nakiki-ride sa hype ng isang artist. Pero may mga reactors who really make efforts for the artists na nagta-travel pa nga dito sa Pinas para lang ma-meet mga artists natin. Hi Ovela, having to compare a cover to an original may give us the bias feels because we tend to find the 'perfectness' of the original to the cover which most of the time we don't. I appreciate your honest reactions to the cover based on how you heard and perceived it. What bothered me and I hope you'll refrain from doing in your succeeding reactions is to compare any singers' physical attributes to others. We all know that MJ being a great singer had some down flaws post surgery which didn't actually made him good looking but instead turned him into the opposite. This part of your comment did not sit well with me at all. Its a sensitive issue when we tend to compare one's physicality to another, coz this might be misconstrued as 'low key bullying' which I am presuming was never your intention. Thank you and good luck to your future reactions.

Idol groups were trained to sing and dance. An idol who can sing better than a solid singer is hard to find, just like how hard to find a dancer as good as those solid dancers. For a starter like SB19, they were already setting a high standard for all aspiring pinoy idols (if compared to the longer history of the korean idols industry)
And as for their english accent, i have notice it for a long time. I can only speculate they did not notice it since they are under a korean mentor(s). And they were taught to speak in Korean.

I think you’re missing a few concepts here. First, It’s a cover. It wasn’t meant to contend with the original. Second, It’s meant to showcase what these kids can do now and potentially do in the future. Third, their looks are theirs and no one elses. I don’t think it’s appropriate to compare Stell to Michael Jackson (after surgery??). I do agree with their accents but only to a point. As a non-native speaker of the English language, I am not in the position to critique that area. About their harmony, I am not getting the “Oos” you’re talking about. ‘Mind pinpointing them for us watchers? maybe demonstrate on how these young men should do it? That’d be helpful. A short trivia. Among all the members, Justin (the man who sang first) does not have any background in singing. When he joined the audition in showbt, he was told to stop 'cause he wasn't that good. During an interview he thinks he has the least contribution to their group. For A'TIN and especially for Justin stans, this cover ain't just a simple cover. It's Justin's way of telling us that he's confident now to show his improvement as an artist. 💙

I’ve been a subscriber since when he start reacting to some Filipino artist and I’ve never been disagreeing on his opinion or reaction but I think this time I will. Well, I totally understand how he reacts or even his expectation since I’ve been watching him for long time, but I think he needs to watch more of their performances and try to learn more about SB19 so he would know how they improved a lot. Maybe it was not a perfect cover but obviously they can sing and for me they nailed it as both male version. If ever he would react again to SB19 I wish before he check their original ballad songs why not check their Practice of TILALUHA on SB19 official YT acc. So he can clearly hear how good they are since it’s a raw video.

We appreciate the honest reactions, but I think you have to consider that they are from a boy group. They are no morisette and sarah geronimo who's trained so hard in singing. Vocally they are also far from budakhel. So maybe you have to lower your standards because one of them is actually improving (from no singing background) and their main vocal, Stell isn't trained to be JUST a singer. I know you only react for what is placed in front of you, but a little research before you react on something wouldn't hurt. I was actually quite surprised with their accent here, since none of that was ever apparent whenever they sang Love Goes, which is their full English song. Though personally I wouldn't let it bother me too much, as it's just an indication that they're multilingual ;) I get having a standard of what would make a cover song "good", though. There are just songs out there where we get so picky with how we'd want it to be done, that anything different we'd get a bit "eh" at (ever heard of My Way killings in the PH? It's basically about some people getting murdered just because they sang the song wrong in the karaoke). Personally I still enjoyed this cover quite a lot. Justin's (the guy on your right) voice improved a ton, and Stell's was stellar as ever.
