I have just purchased a Synology DS218+ and was thinking where am I going to put it. I have 1 spare Powerline adapter and your video confirmed what I was thinking. Thank you for a very helpful video !
2 question for 4k video and the QNAP TS-251A . 1.is it worst to conect a Powerline Adapters for 4k video vs a cat 6 cable ? 2.is it the QNAP TS-251A a good buy for a usb direct access?
Recent subscriber here! What about plugging in the NAS to a wireless access point which then connects to the router wirelessly as the access point normally would? Power adapters is not an option for me. That said, is an extender or access point better in this regard (so long as there is an Ethernet jack)?
I don't understand what's all the buzz over these powerline adapters. To me they are practically unusable. I can not speak for other countries, but where I live a house with only 1 circuit is unheard of. There's even a strong recommendation to have more than one circuit in every room (the reason is that electricity in that room is still available when 1 circuit is cut). In this case (my case) powerline adapters would only work with power sockets that are generally in the very near vicinity, making them useless.
@@dannywilkins6567 Yes. Depending on your mesh network! Certain mesh will have a spare Ethernet port in the back or on the bottom, this can be used as any normal Ethernet port!
You explained my question with the powerline adaptors very clearly! Thank you man!:) it was hard to find info about this subject.

Did you able to make it actually work with powerline and nas? Is it good?
Thank you so much.
Was just thinking if this would work and then decided to "youtube it".
Your helpful video nailed it.
Thanks again.
I like this guy has fake book shelf wall paper at back. Well done!

If I can conect Nas in the router with 10-20m cable will be better then using power adapters? Thank you!

Doest it affect the speed?
Will it work with a cpe210? Point to point network?
Can you wired the NAS to the wifi mesh node?
This is what I'm trying to figure out. Did you find an answer?
