I think Samsung patched this. I've tried this numerous times by now, and it never worked
it worked for me half a year ago but ive done a factory reset and it doesnt work anymore

Hi! I did everything as on the video, everything worked with the commands as on the video. After everything was done I restarted my phone and the memory (internal) was the same and the SD card was corrupted. Asked to format the SD card, after I formated everything seems to be as before the procedure, nothing changed!

Yes formatting the card would revert it back to the way it was before, As for corrupting the card may I suggest trying all the steps again?
just a heads up this method not work on android 11 if your on android 10 and did this DO NOT UPDATE TO ANDROID 11 it will freeze any apps that was on the sd card making them unusable i found it out the hard way
It worked for me! But when internal storage gets full, phn stops to function and don't use the added storage.. can you tell me how i can move my files to extended storage?

Did you remove the [disk id] and replace it with your own and added a :? i.e. sm partition disk:176.52

Hello, I get all the way to: cd adb\platform-tools_r30.0.4-windows\platform-tools\adb devices then I get an error " 'adb' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file" Please help! I have tried everything!
I did everything you stated and restart my phone but it still says I only have 16 gb in device care. Is it because the SD card was formatted to the phone prior to doing this? I thought it would reformat the SD card but it did nothing.
To me, it looks like all this did was cause my SD card to show up as missing?
I tried to transfer a file larger than the phone's regular size restrictions to check if the extra storage just wasn't being put into text and it did not download. And now I just want to change it back and just deal with having horrible internal storage and use the MicroSD for external storage. But my MicroSD card is still showing up as missing no matter what I do. Do you know how to revert the changes made with these commands?
...I really don't wanna be screwed out of any of my storage over this.

@@alphonsejuniorniggins4194 hey, I fixed mine so my MicroSD card is back to normal. Apparently samsung or verizon clipped this work around to expand your internal storage cause they're dicks so fixing it will make it just go back to external storage but you will have your MicroSD card back.
So what you do, follow the instructions he gave in the video till you're at a certain point.
When you're at "sm partition disk [disk id] private", replace "private" with "mixed 100".
this should treat your partition between your sd and phone as partition 100% of the space back towards the MicroSD card only. There is a possible chance you'll need to format your sd card, and I couldn't find a way to access it on my PC without formatting. But you might not. i ended up formatting the SD before I

@@mariustraining I didn't mess anything up, have an ee sim in my phone which was always used for calls and I've added a sim with storage for this video. Did exactly what your video showed and it worked but now the ee sim is not working due to this dumb code so i can't receive calls, how do you reverse this code??? I don't want this useless transfer of storage, it doesn't even let you move files to the sd card because the storage is too low to function file transfers.

I have never seen adding an SD card so complicated. What the hell have they done. Usually there is just insert and select option of wanted storage after format.
Is "format as internal" is a reversible process. Will sd card become normal if we format it again. Pls respond!!
For an instance I wanted to replace the memory card, should I reverse the process and place the memory card? Also, how do I reverse this process?

It would be advisable to insert the biggest memory car you have. The best way to reverse the process is to format you memory card BUT you will lose all the data on the card

I would not recommend this workaround and I should have heeded the previous warnings. At the adb shell stage I got an error about 'more than one emulator'; there is a way around that but I don't want to encourage anyone, so I am not giving it. At the end I still have the original 16GB of storage, my phone is not seeing the SD card (says 'SD card not inserted'), and it seems to restart every time I unlock it.

My Advice would be to make a backup of your SD card on your PC or Laptop. And download the Samsung migrate app from the Galaxy store.

A tremendous amount of work due to disabilities...
Getting the cases off my cell phone, finding anything to open the sd/sim drawer that was terrible. Found a paper clip, scraping the pa paper clip... had to scrape clip... LUCKY - SUCCESS

I've tried this a couple of times and after the (disk id) private, my phone automatically unmount my SD card. It says SD card removed unexpectedly, please insert card. Then the SD card is unreadable. I had to remove it and format it on my pc, then insert it again on my phone and format it, so I can use it. What is happening???
Are you sure your phone is still on Android 10?
