Spin-off from the short-lived ATV series "The Shillingbury Tales". It was lovely gentle Sunday night viewing. A shame it was carried over by Central. Cuffy was created by ATV executive Francis Essex but it was actually his friend Bob Monkhouse who came up with the idea. Ironically, it was Francis Essex who had Bob sacked from The Golden Shot because of alleged gifting from Wilkinson Sword. Bob got the show back for a final series but gained Celebrity Squares and, later, Family Fortunes - one very shrewd operator was Mr Monkhouse! He would have ended up with Play Your Cards Right and Brucie with FF but saw that each was better suited to the other show
