  • Last year, I climbed Aconcagua, the highest peak in South America. It was my first of the Seven Summits, and an experience I'll never forget.
This video is half trekking, half nostalgia, and follows my expedition group as we attempt to reach the summit.
I did my Aconcagua climb with Elite Himalayan Expeditions, led by Nims Dai and Minga David Sherpa. You can find more info on climbing with them at: www.elitehimalayanadventures.c...

I've been sick a long time and was forced to retire. I'm not even old. Anyway, I'm not a climber. Climbing is just not my thing, but I want to be healthy again. I can feel the life in this little documentary, and it's healthy for my soul. I sure appreciate that. I thought the dog was cool too. I saw one that climbed everest. I thought that was awesome, but I wouldn't want to see it happen again.
I don't think my appreciation of this is unique, so I'm disappointed to see so few views. I hope it picks up. It's clean video, very well edited, and the music was well chosen. It deserves more than a few thousand views in three months, but youtube is too busy recommending ten year old videos that have nothing to do with my viewing habits.

This relates to the seven summits which includes separate peaks for north and South America. Aconcagua is the highest for South America - just one of the seven summits. Very few places in the world outside of South America teach continental theory with 6, not 7 continents. There are separate models for 4 & 5 continents as well.
