Yes, seating position is outside of the cockpit a bit when switched to VR. The soundpack will be updated for both CowanSim R66 and default R66 in MSFS 2024.

What I don't like is that there is a clearly audible gap when the engine is shutting down, which I find unpleasant. Can this error be fixed in the next update?
We will do our best to enhance that part of the soundpack. That slight ducking of the audio doesn't happen every time, and it depends on N1. If you follow the procedures properly and wait for N1 to stabilize for few minutes, there shouldn't be any audible gap. Check 9:13 and you will hear that the transition is seamless.

@@ImmersiveAudio New day, new luck, the problem was behind the control stick. After looking closely, I saw that they had turned off the "Avionics" and "NAV Light" switches. I had accidentally switched off the generator switch. This is how the faulty sound came about. As always, small cause, big effect 🙄😬
The upgrade for CowanSim R66 2024 version will be free, and the version for default R66 that comes with the sim will be probably 50% off for CowanSim R66 soundpack owners.

Awesome sounds. Hopefully FS2024 will come up with better helicopter physics so I can start flying them outside of XPlane/DCS.
We kinda enjoyed flying with Cowansim R66 during testing. And yes, we also fly R22 in AFS4 and XP12, and couple of others in XP11.
