BAND MAID XMAS SONG: Miku the red rose pigeon/ Had a very shiny rose/ And when Saiki heard the news/ She went and bought some shoes/ All of the other Band- Maids/ MISA Akane and Kanami/ They all helped the small pigeon/ Play in perfect harmony/ Then one quiet Christmas eve/ Santa came to say/ Miku with your band so tight/ Won't you play an okyu-ji tonight/ Then all the Band-Maids shredded/ Like they do normally/ Miku the red rose pigeon/ You're part of musical history!
Ah the steel pillar, the legendary 6th member of BAND-MAID. It's an imposing figure & it's the only thing that stops the house from coming down (Literally) :)
Thanks for being with me in that Hamburg OKYUJI! 🤘 I was frantically moving my phone from left to right, trying to catch all the awesomeness happening on the stage. Miku and MISA, and then Kanami doing her amazing riffs... I'm seriously contemplating, can I employ two phones next time, to catch the whole stage at once? 🤔
Rock in me is played around the middle of the show, it is where Saiki has a pee break and it is where Miku has her magic spell time with the audience! The song is so much fun, the crowd loves it!! Hey! Hey!
This song has a cool rock/swing vibe. Kinda like Soft Cel's "Tainted Love" meets AFI's "Miss Murder" BTW, pretty sure the background "Na, na, na" in the chorus is Kanami. She for sure sings that part live.
I always think of this as having a real cabaret or music-hall feel, but that might be because Miku's so good at singing directly _to_ the audience in the lives of this song.
@@ShikataGaNai100 Becky has got one of the most beautiful legs in the industry. That's her most important asset, I would say. The RIAJ is slowly removing my fancams from UA-cam. Just yesterday they have removed that video of Moratorium in Paris, where Kanami gives a mighty downward kick to Akane's cymbal. So, download the originals from Google Photos, the links are under many of my videos, in the description section. Just in case they block everything and delete my channel.
In one of the Hamburg tracks Akane tries to grab a banana in the middle of the song and she drops her drumstick. I forget which track but somebody will know.
You can find more of such things in Melkweg footage. It's not banana she grabs, it looked like a cookie or something. She puts it in her mouth, tries to chew it, and loses her stick. And then Daisuke Kondo-san quickly runs across the stage, picks the stick and places it on her kick drum. And it happened quite a few times during that show. It seems Akane was really hungry that night.
Nice to see the Dallas footage. When I met the band before the show I asked Miku, “Rock in Me tonight, po?” She smiled and said ‘Is secret”. I can report that I thought Kanami’s guitar was too low all night. Also Akane was mostly in the dark and the stage was too low. I have to correct you, I believe me and 249 of my friends were providing the backing vocals that night. All in all a magical night.
You definitely need to watch all of the Hamburg show recorded by Vladimir. The crowd was right next to the stage. Kanami was nuts at that concert. Especially the long guitar solo opener to Moratorium.

Could've saw them in New York in April 2019. Went to Talladega instead. Talladega was awesome but I should've gone and seen the Maids. I've been to Talladega 5 times. Only reason I went is because I've got the camper and already committed to my friends that where counting on me. Next time they come to 🇺🇸 I'm there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!🤘
The songs that Kanami composes for Miku always have a different vibe, something brighter, which relates perfectly to that wonderful softer and lighter tone of voice. BTW: Great comparison with Weezer and MCr, I use to listen to them ten years ago
if you want see Akane, I told you before, you should find "alone" video shot in London, the video is focused 100% focused on Akane from the side of the stage, not the audience but someone staff must have taken this shot. And you can see really well how hard she is hitting the drum. So hard that at end of the concert, I'd imagine entire drum set needs to be re-tuned up. You need to find that video.
This takes me back to the old days.....the best days....the glam Rock days. To me this is a Poison song....Mos-def But in a few of their other songs...I cant think of the song titles right now but they also have the grittiness of a Faster Pussycat in them

They literally don't have a song I dislike. Even their less known, but not lesser, songs are just as good as the big ones. This one just "feels" like a Miku song. Meaning it's like it's made for her singing. BTW Wave, I found a new Japanese band called The BONEZ. Check out We are The BONEZ.
Vladimir gets such great video footage! His Band Maid videos might be used some day as pro-Band Maid propaganda to help get them onto the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame!
Re. Akane's drum triggers. I seem to remember another reactor commenting a long time ago that he was sure she was using triggers during Onset to emphasise certain beats at the end of verses. So, yes, it's possible.
Saw this late. I believe in the Roland video, it was said that she experiences the TM to give her opinion on it, not that she uses it. There is a reason the band calls her -gorilla. She hits the heads hard and not because of a TM. Her power comes from her wrists (connected to the forearm), similar to John Bonham. Another supporting fact, the trigger module is on the floor between Akane's feet in the Roland video, and in the Band-Made Prime videos, there is no such device near her feet.
They change the Miku solo song for the Okyujis whenever a new Miku song is on an album release. When they finally start touring again (and on the online Okyujis) it's now Sayonakidori. Although I love the new song and I'm happy Miku gets to show off her guitar skill improvement, I'm still a little sad that I'll probably never experience Rock In Me in person (and Onset). Side note...of course I love Saiki's vocals but I also want a CD of just Band-Maid instrumentals.

I'd agree 99%. But Miku is absolutely perfect for this song though. People say Miku doesn't get enough credit but she does. The band gets her to take lead, she takes every opportunity to shine. That shows how much Band-Maid members love and respect her as much as fans do. But I feel Saiki deserves more credit though.
9:50 Misa is by Akane so that they can communicate with each other. They are probably just pulling funny faces trying to make each other laugh. They've practiced like hell and performed it already numerous times so that they can afford to have fun even during the performance.
