Perhaps a lesson on recognizing and fixing a poor solder joint. Good, informative series for anyone playing an electric. Thanks.
I'm afraid I'll need to attend many coffeeholics anonymous meetings to attempt this operation! 😁 Thanks!
Hahaha, love it!
finally getting round to this. have a 5 way selector switch for my squire strat and been putting off doing it! here goes...
Very clear instructions and you’ve taken away my apprehension as I’m just about to change my first pot 👍🏻
Excellent video and thanks for posting. Very helpful!
Great tutorials 😎👍
Roughing up the back of a pot to accept ground wires, and enough heat to make a perfect solder would be a good tutorial.
Always concerned with too much heat.
😎👍❤🖖
Thank you so much for making these lessons!
I needed this some time ago! What happens when the pot fries?!
Where did you get the little vise?
Wiring a jazz bass from scratch
You are a wealth of knowledge on this topic! This has helped immensely while making me feel more confident working on my guitars! Thank you!
What temperature should we be shooting for?
Thank you for sharing some basic knowledge. I'm looking to start building guitars with my Dad on the weekends and he's more technically adept than am at the moment. He probably already knows how to do this already. 😂 I'll let you know.
Can you make a video showing you wiring a guitar from start to finish?
Thank you for your suggestion, Tony! It’s something I’ve wanted to do for a while 👍
Thanks for this. Built a guitar on a course last week and had to do the soldering. I wish I'd watched you videos first!!
I'm currently putting back together a 1982 vintage Japanese guitar (Kawai Aquarius AQ-420, purchased by myself in 1984) that I've totally dismantled and modded out over the years. I want to get back to how it was originally, and then to try and sell it.
Your videos are an absolute godsend, because my soldering is atrocious! In my defence, the least time I soldered I was about 14, tinkering with amps and speakers dragged out of record players and stuff, so it's over 50 years ago. I'm a bit rusty, to say the least. ;-)
I'm nipping between watching the vids and going back to the little work bench I've set up - and just today, I did notice a slight improving in my work. 100% down to you, so many thanks,
*It's still pretty bad - I've got a lot of practising to do!
Just prepping to solder my new radioshop loaded guard!
what temp should I set my iron for?
Thanks
