The volume thing happen every so often in my 2021 Q5. Though it only happens if I try and turn the volume up, it will turn the volume all the way down. Never had it happen the other way around. Great vid cheers.
the finger writing recognition is actually bonkers! you dont need to write letter for letter. you can just write all letters in one go. you can even write all letters on top of each other and it works also for people with horrible handwriting. only thing is, you need to get used to how it wants to have a comma (,) written. or how to write a dash (-) compared to a spacebar (_) so the car can distinguish them. The voice control on the other hand is horribly bad :D it can only understand things like 'I am cold' or 'go to {insert something iconic}'. but try to get to e.g. '954 Pietmont street SE, Roanoke, Virgina'. The car will never be able to sort that out.
I absolutely love the 2022 S3 saloon and sportback. I'm actually considering the saloon to replace my 2018 Sportback. Is the boo t(trunk) space lots smaller than the Sportback?
actually the boot is slightly bigger in the the saloon. Only benefit for the Sportback is that you can staple up to the roof. in that case it out spaces the saloon. I'd say the sportback is more practical.
the S3 comes with a round steering wheel and a flat bottom one. Only with the round steering you can have the lane hold assistant. I got mine with a flat bottom because i also like that more and dont need a lane keep assistant. the flat bottom still comes with lane-departure warning (which luckily can be turned off with just one button press on a stick behind the steering) but imo the steering wheel feels very high quality and solid and trustable. like it.
he did the sprint wrong. you need to stand on the break and gas at the same time to activate launch control. then it starts way quicker than shown. but in general it has a turbo lag. like every turbocharged engine.
@@Jonathan-kraai Thanks. I have a 2018 Infiniti Sport and the lag is considerably less than the 2015 Audi A3. The Audi did have Quattro and handling was very good.
@@jojosmith1097 i don't know the differences between a high end (quattro) A3 and the S3. But i'd assume the differences are not big as they share the same engine. you can decrease Turbo lag by e.g. use lighter material for the rotor or shorter pipes or engine settings. also it is possible to have a turbo with an electric motor that starts way faster than the exhaust powered "standard" turbo. my personal Experience is, that you feel the turbo lag in automatic shifting mode more then when you shift manually because you can buffer some time of the turbo lag by manually shifting down. in fact it still exists but you feel it a bit less.
No, it doesn't have turbo lag. Incorrect. It has throttle lag, like all VAG cars do, particularly high performance. A DTE pedal box fixes the throttle lag/delay. Commonly reported issue amongst many owners of S3's and Golf R's
"The Audi S cars should have the silver mirror caps"
This guy knows his stuff. The silver mirror caps is a cultural thing. It's a Audi unique mark.
Is it really? I just got a 8v with carbon fiber mirror caps. Did I f*** up?
I bought the S3 without the black optics specifically for the alum mirror caps. also looks good on turbo blue
Got one in turbo blue and just love driving the car!
Love audi.
S3 is better than to golf r and golf gti.
Certainly is Drove the golf R S3 is better and honestly who cares about drift mode .
Great video, awesome camera angles! The only thing missing is a proper launch control, other than that, keep up the good work! :)
Really love your camera angles!

Great review!
Thank you!

Isn't the acceleration hesitation turbo lag?

That’s cheap for them specs 😮 In Europe it would cost 70 000 dollars
mmmbop
Skip the S3 and get a mk8 R
Naaaaahhhh
Loved the looks of the mk7.5 R but the mk8 now looks like a Hyundai and is so much cheaper inside than the S3!
