You can get convicted of DV just by being in a yelling match. You can get convicted of DV by grabbing your partners wrists so they can't keep hitting you (it happens a LOT). Just imagine if we used a law like this to not just restrict, but outright ban people's First Amendment rights. How about 5th ammendment rights? It's already being used to ban their Second Amendment rights.. AND their Fourth Amendment rights.
@@edwardkaufman8930 well if you've committed a crime that is also one of the most dangerous to respond to for officers yeah, they probably shouldn't have the right to own a gun.
@@FRUITSAMURAIX there are numerous rights we hold as citizens that are not in the Bill of Rights - so you're insisting that r*pe victims should be forced to carry to term because the bill of rights say otherwise?
@ZachariahtheMessiah Yes, and it says nothing in the Bill of Rights about Roe v Wade. But it does say the right to bare arms. Maybe less victims if the girl just carried a gun.
@@ZachariahtheMessiah Last time I checked, rights are for everyone equally and don't discriminate based off of race, religion, and sex. Thinking something that only half the population can partake in is not a right, it's a privilege. Abortion is a privilege, not a right.

Taking 2nd Amendment rights away for future crimes is unconstitutional. If you are on parole or probation, you have a conditional release from custody and your rights can be waived voluntarily in order for that release. Protection orders can now violate 1st and 2nd amendments. If someone has committed violence, then put them in jail. No guns in jail.
Domestic violence calls are the most dangerous ones any police officer can confront. Allowing the perpetrators to obtain or keep guns not only makes it dangerous for the police but is even more dangerous for the victims and their families.
The domestic violence laws are a complete joke in Utah.

True. Chauvinism capital of America. Thanks Mitt Romney + pals.
So innocent until proven guilty is out of the question in Utah. Can you say UnConstitutional.

I know far more men who are victims of a crazy stalker girlfriend than I know women who've been victims of men.
This is your first thought? What difference does it make?
@raymondspogo just want to ensure that equality is applied equally.
Found the incel...
@alistairmackintosh9412 Found it no doubt, in your mirror. But, I'll give you a courtesy laugh for your sad effort.
*it?
I thought we were equal?
What? This isn't just for women. It's for men also.
Can't take rights away!? See roe v Wade.
Where does it say in the bill of rights about Roe v Wade?

Well gun owners won't let us pass red flag laws, so this is the best we can do.
That's because red flag laws are unconstitutional. If you don't like that then I don't think that the US is the place for you.
Interpreting law is the simultaneous repealing and passing of new law.
I had women sitting at my bar talking to each other about fake DV claims they have gotten away with...
Sure you did.
Just round about infringment.

yeah no... there won't be any red flags or false accusations now. nope. never
Better to temporarily disarm someone (which, how often does that happen?) than let some domestic abuser use his guns on someone innocent.
And if there is we should just ignore the real DV situations.

Absolutely...

Agreed why go the fast route with domestic violence using a gun when you can spend all night using your fists!

Cant buy a gun in Florida if you are registered for medical cannabis
Supreme court didn't think twice to take women's civil rights away.
What civil right?
Body autonomy. Please try to keep up or stop watching Fox Spews for information. @caucasianafrican1435
Which civil rights were those?
What "civil rights" were taken away...???
Abortion is NOT a Civil Right....The Court merely kicked the wuestion back to the States....where it belonged all along.
Clowns in the courts in utah also restrict archary equipment.
How?
