Swapping motors over a countershaft seal is wild.
Guaranteed fix vs fiddle farting with it. None of us know how low on oil it got. Maybe it was low enough on oil he was more comfortable running the spare motor. Less than an hour to swap, added peace of mind, and deal with the seal later when there’s more time.
