🇺🇸 One hour to visit was more than enough. We left Gananoque. The archipelago is made up of 1865 islands of different sizes, which harmoniously dot the course of the St. Lawrence River.
For the record, the archipelago was originally part of a mountain range that was swallowed up by the St. Lawrence River. Today, only the highest plateaus still manage to point the end of their land above the crushing Saint-Laurent, thus creating a multitude of small islands. This is why, when large ships have to cross the archipelago, specialized maritime pilots are usually called upon, capable of not colliding with these tiny rocky icebergs.
