I loved this movie and cried all the way through it! What a beautiful story. I have four children - all grown and many times people joked saying " What's the matter, don't you have a TV?" Sadly, people don't trust God enough to see that having a large family is a blessing.
Absolutely loved this movie. Love hearing the differences between real life and the movie. They did a good job keeping the core story together of their life and putting it together into an amazing movie
I was so bless to see For King & Country on December 8, 2012 in a small town church in Owatonna Minnesota. I feel so blessed, that we got to see them before they blew up… it was also my late husbands last birthday on earth, we got to spend with them, even hanging out with them before the small concert… my husband passed away in a car wreck the following July… I have the photo we all took as a family ( my daughter then 12 and my son 9) with Joel and Luke :)
Hey Guys, i enjoyed your work, your commentary immensley. Thank you, what talent you all have in building this.. Thank you. However, you al did not discuss how important of a role that Daniel Smallbone played over the decades. From background vocals, stage crew and ultimately to the amazing artistry of the lights and smoke and visual effects that he does via software that was self taught and self-mastered. Please address this in your commentary because I have over 25+ years of personal, first hand knowledge of the roles and contributions Daniel has completed. Best, Chris
This film is a must-watch for anyone seeking inspiration and a deeper understanding of the importance of family. It not only tells a remarkable story but also leaves viewers with a sense of hope and the reminder that staying united through tough times can lead to eventual success. In summary, Unsung Heroes is a must-watch film for everyone. It’s a touching narrative that not only entertains but also reinforces the significance of family bonds. The film's ability to make you cry, reflect, and appreciate the value of staying united through life’s struggles is a testament to its powerful storytelling.
I guess every movie has to make some changes toward the story, but the movie was so fantastic, the changes didn't make a lot of difference. Great great movie!!!
I watched the movie twice & am almost finished reading Helen's book. Sure, there are minor discrepancies, but there HAS to be. Movies cannot be several hours long. I don't care about the differences. I'm wise enough to grasp the main story & the incredible dynamics of this God-loving family. It's a beautiful, genuine story. ❤❤❤.
Also, the DVD commentary talks about all of these things! 😂 Luke & Joel themselves talk about how some things were changed or made-up to go better w/ the flow of the movie. It's an amazing movie & real-life story no matter what!
So....because it wasn't talked about in the book that Helen did but it was in the movie...it didn't actually happen? Hmmmm evidently a lot of things that the kids did do while growing up that weren't talked about they didn't actually do...I mean if Helen didn't talk about it in the book how do we REALLY know that it happened?! That is your logic!
No one really cares anymore. They have great music. That's about it. What do they actually do. It's all business. Has nothing to do with Jesus.. fake. Fake. Fake.

I had no idea that Rebecca Saint James is For King & Country singers' big sister. That is great and joyous in a family.

VERY well-said
Another cameo is the real parents on the train sitting across from the boys. Wonderful film!

Instead of making assumptions why don't you invite Helen and David on your channel and find out for sure.
True... but I think he did wonderful.

It was 100% made by
for King and Country, and the Smallbone family!!

What's the point of watching if it's not authentic? Viewers carry away the falsehoods with them.
Bunch of ruthless actions and cut throat tactics even by the Christian music industry. Not much difference between the mainstream music industry.
For King and Country? They're in the Wrong country for King talk

There are a very many Godly Christian singers. Mac Powell, David Crowder, Natalie Grant, Mercy Me-so many more.
