The sticker over the batteries is a little confusing. You just ground the AC contact anywhere on the exposed metal. You need something of small or sharp enough to fit in the AC recess but long enough to touch the metal chassis.
He is trying to reset the hands, on single pressing on 'Adjust', we can adjust the time and date, etc. When we hold the adjust button for a few seconds, we get to the 'H-Set' option.
Just researching my first (DIY) battery replacement for a GG-1000 Mudmaster; The Casio site says for the 395 / 399 (SR927SW / SR927W) batteries about 2 years. A few other sources I have read suggest this is about right. It's a bit less than I expected.... but... oh well.
