Loved your video!!! It was really interesting to your reaction to the album also from a technical/sound point of view. Punisher is my favorite record and Phoebe is just brilliant!! It’s nice to see her getting the recognition she deserves. I would love to see more reactions on your channel, perhaps you guys could do Haim’s ‘Women in music pt. iii’ or Taylor swift’s folklore or evermore if you haven’t listened to it already
Guys I loved your comments thru the whole record!!! I like how both of you complement each other, one studies the music while the other one the lyrics. Nice team!!! I hope you can react to Norman F**king Rockwell! by Lana Del Rey. Greetings from Argentina 🇦🇷
Would love to see you guys react to more albums! Really like your breakdowns of the instrumentals. Highly recommend 22, a million from Bon Iver. Some really cool experimental instrumentals on there.
This was really entertaining to listen to! It gave me an even stronger appreciation of the album than I already had. I'll definitely be tuning in for future reactions/reviews! You guys bring a cool perspective. Also, I would have loved to see I Know the End nominated for Rock Performance over Kyoto. Kyoto is great but the closer is much more "Rock"
one of my fav details in this album has to be the ending of savior complex. the chord structure throughout most of it sounds pretty melancholy but still very beautiful, with big swells and crescendos - but the last chord leaves it feeling incomplete and kind of discordant and eerie. from a musical theory kind of standpoint, it’s really cool how she mirrors that in the lyrics - throughout the song she says ‘show me yours, i’ll show you mine’ but also mentions she’s a bad liar, and ends the song with just ‘show me yours’, leaving the lyrics incomplete too. this album honestly blew my mind - the composition, lyrics, and production are all insanely good! i loved seeing someone react to this from an audio nerd perspective hahaha
just immediately started crying at moon song as i do every time. YOU ARE SICK. AND YOU’RE MARRIED. AND YOU MIGHT BE DYING. BUT YOURE HOLDING ME LIKE WATER IN YOUR HANDS
Also you probably already know them but if you like guitar solos definitely check out peach pit they have so many solos and imo some of the best guitar work in the indie scene atm anyway
Loved the reaction! If you love some good production I recommend igor by Tyler the creator. The music might not be what you are used to but it has consistently amazing production which I think you would appreciate.
A lot of the bass you all are talking about is just baritone guitar. And on Halloween that song long soloing work was Blake Mills who might be the best guitarist ( and producer) in LA. He is Tony Berg's go to for any guitar work.
The fact that you guys said Punisher would be a good Good Will Hunting song when it’s about Elliot Smith is so cool lmao
We love Elliott Smith :)
"Graceland Too' is for and about Julien Baker. And yes she does some vocal work at the end with Lucy Dacus. Beautiful.
I love that you guys really appreciate the amazing instrumentals that are always in the background to Phoebe songs
the performance you’re thinking of with the screaming in “i know the end” was her tiny desk session :)
YES! That's it! Thanks for reminding us!
This is my favorite video on the internet. Please post more PLEASE. I could watch you guys forever!!! I love you very much and appreciate you
We're workin on another episode as we speak! Glad you're diggin it!

Glad you liked it! It means a lot! We'll definitely take a look at those records. Thanks for the suggestion!
The reason why the guitar sounds more like a bass in garden song is because she uses a baritone guitar.
good call my friend
Would love to see another Phoebe reaction/review
We been thinkin about doing Stranger in the Alps... we'll see :)
I'm gonna check this album out now. I've liked everything I've heard from her so far so I might as well. Kyoto is catchy as fuuuuuck

Bon Iver is one of my favs, we'll definitely be reviewing 22 in the future!
when phoebe was fifteen she joined an all-girl punk band called “sloppy jane” which she played bass for!! loved this vid!
she does a lot of double tracked vocals, more so in her freshman album, which comes from elliott smith inspiration!

Loved this video. Would love to see some Lucy reactions! Her entire catalog is amazing. No burden, historian, and home video. All amazing.
"she's not a powerful singer"
pheobe: hold my guitar b*tch.
Y'all would have an absolute HEYDAY with La Dispute. Instrumentals on ten, lyrics on ten, concepts on ten million.

Totally recommend Igor! the storytelling and production is incredible

that's one of my fav records of all time! We'll def be doing more Bright Eyes in the future. thanks for the sub!
I like how even for just a reaction video you panned your mics.
lol. sometimes ya gotta
@@olbullsmusic8326 I really enjoyed the video. It was great discussion and analysis. Looking forward to future videos.
@@charlesmatthews9001 Thanks man! More to come soon!
I think the instrument you couldn't place on Graceland Too is a melodica.
Please react to Taylor Swift's Albums Folklore or evermore,if you guys haven't listened to them already..
Folklore is on the list!
Omg!!!! Would love to see folklore
had to tap out 15 minutes in because of that good awful nose whistle... just blow it!
