I envy Willow's opportunity. My Aussie's parents were both working sheepherders on an Amish farm. We brought her home as a hiking companion, and as a partner to a Great Pyrenees. Sometimes we have to stop her from playing herd dog with the Pyrenees who is fortunately very patient about her predispositions. It is the cheek nipping that is a bit too far and warrants a correction. She's just over 40lbs but lightning fast with a ridiculous standing leap. We thought 4' tall fencing would contain her when she was a puppy of 7 weeks. Nope. Most athletic dog I've ever seen in my 50 years. I think her gifts are wasted on us.
Willow is currently only 11 months old and is being trained as our Service Dog. She's amazing at the jobs we've given her. When the SD vest comes off, she's a puppy with BOUNDLESS energy. Her vertical leap is impressive and her speed is our of this world! She never gets tired and we're there for the energy!
