I think you may have watched it with nostalgia tinted goggles on... The acting, script, and special effects weren't even up to the standards of the original show, and that's saying a lot, because the show was cheesy, but this was just terrible.
I used to work with this guy. We would talk about all things 80’s and 90’s comic culture for hours. He’s probably one of the most knowledgeable people concerning DC and Marvel that I have ever met. Well done!
I wasn’t expecting much from the acting. It was the same as it was from the 90’s for me and plus none of this guys except for Walter on a few occasions acted regularly if at all after power rangers. For some that was they’re first acting job and probably never acted again after that and went on to do other things. JDF and Amy Jo did some acting here and there even Thuy was in Crow City of Angels. But largely most of them didn’t do anymore acting beyond that. But I will agree it was a bit rushed and could have benefited from a 2 hr run time, but overall I enjoyed it and hope we get more with some minor improvements to certain areas. I went into it with my expectations tempered basically so I wasn’t too disappointed which is probably the best way to approach this special/reunions.
