When I saw you miss the corner, I was convinced you would recover and save it.... Then came the enormous crack... Now that's a blooming miracle. Had you gone down, very bad things would have happened to the bike. You would have got of lightly due to the relatively slow pace and of course, I'm certain you had on your gear for the slide. Great view of the Aussie outback as well. No worries, all part of feeling alive and enjoying your wheels. God bless brother. Live life, happy and safe trails always.
yeah i still dont know how that happened but best of all both roder and bike got out of it with no issues. i will have to take another run out there again. some-one pointed out that there were tracks where some-one elses had done the same
yeah i like that road. it gets better too. where i zoomed in on the camera i rode after this clip was completed. really nice scenery there except i did see a few dead wombats. didn't know they were out that way. google wombats and you get the isea
@@wolf1066 ive never seen a live one about even though they come out at night never saw one. some areas have them so they are more in really rough hilly country. built like small tanks too
i actually went back a few days later to check out that corner again. a week later i got a recall letter from honda saying there is a possible issue with the gb350 with the wheel sensors effecting traction control and the abs. so i am now waiting for the parts to arrive at the local dealer for the fitting side
Great you did not have to drop the bike, of course the most scary thing is the thought that you ended up into the opposite lane, plus things like a small pole on the side of the road can be deadly for a motorcyclist. Hopefully will learn from this, the reality though is that speed lovers always are at risk.
yeah on the day it happened pretty quick. rarely see a car or bike along that road so its pretty well isolated. since then the bike was on a recall from honda with the abs sensors replaced. not only that since then ive re-painted the whole bike in red and thats in my history section. looks a lot better too
Damn good handling on your part mate! That went from bad to worse to good. Many riders would have eaten rock right there. Also, I feel this showcases the rideability and durability of the Honda GB350 even under adverse conditions. Hats off to you and the GB350.
yeah i was thinking if i tried to go across it may not end well so i just rode it out. i plan to go back in the next few days to take a better look at that corner
Yeah I ve watched this a couple of times, been there done that. Had that issue with the ol cb300r feeling light in the front end on gravel now have have the mighty cb500x which feels planted in that type of situation. Usually a swear word pops out f I do loose it. Remarkable you stayed cool. Good skills . See you next vid
yeah i thought so too when i checked the footage. i only did one lap through...lol that was enough but i saw one other track heading in same direction. i suppose i should have had a better look what actually went wrong there all the best!
@@32laurens well when i saw it i thought ..this will either end good or bad. i still wouldnt mind going back there and check out what actually went wrong. i may do that in next few days. all the best!
well i knew it wasn't going to be as good as the previous half hour...lol and i was hoping for a ood landing. the front wheel getting jamming in that water rut slowed things down pretty quick
Blimey Warro looked like a trap, how the road surface changes colour from sandy brown to black but remains sandy brown to your right where you ended up. Going to catch a lot of others out, Glad your ok & kept it upright. Cheers Baz
no idea what went wrong there. it didn't look a bad bend. very windy on the day too. may have blown the bike off track but overall that water rut certainly stopped it pretty quick
i'd say so as those last few seconds before the bike stopped would have gripped them well. i decided to follow that tyre/water rut rather that go over it as i thought that might not end well
yeah i was concentrating on the ride a bit...lol glad to get that over with and on my way. further on on that run i came to a shady area of track and some-one had run over a 5ft eastern brown. took a photo but forgot to load it
no idea what went wrong but when i looked at the footage it looked like another single track had been there before me. next time out that way i will stop and take a better look there
i really dont know what happened. it was pretty windy and when i played the footage back it looked like another bike had gone bush too. that is looking at footage before i got to it
yeah i actually saw that on the edit so it appears i was not the first...lol i know the road fairly well too as i ride it quite often. on the day i noticed the whole road for several miles had been graded and it wasn't as hard packed as usual. i think that loose stuff caused the issue as its not really a bad bend
The corner came up quick the gravel didn't help worro you were going to fast for corner get your eyes tested mate stop having the all day suppa beers and you will right oh and keep away from the bloody fosters it's made for them pomies

That was a bloody good save, you're a good rider.
yeah i was lucky to get out of that one with really no damage. thats a plus. all the best!
By the looks of the tracks, you're not the only one who missed the corner
yeah i though so too. i should have checked it out more thoroughly to see what went wrong
Damn. That went better than I expected, considering.
Beautiful riding places you've got there.

They need some deflection arrows!
Kudos for riding down a dirt road and staying on at all

lucky that day...lol
Jeze that was a bloody close one Warro.Touching 💩cloth🩲 moment that one Warro.
must have either been blown off coars by the stronger winds or maybe too loose gravel. i may have to go back out and take a better look.

thanks. must admit it happened pretty quick. no idea what went wrong but end result turned out positive
I was thinking ‘don’t go in the crack, don’t go in there’ you did and it actually stopped the bike😮 relief!
yeah i was thinking if i tried to go across it may not end well so i just rode it out. i plan to go back in the next few days to take a better look at that corner
Appreciate you sharing, I have had a few of these rear locking moments & the experience shows! Great save!
You bet!
Nice save mate!
bit lucky i guess. when i hit that drainage rut that slowed it very quick...lol and me too!
@@ridewithwarro You did good mate!
Good onya for keeping it upright, Warro! I'll bet the ticker rate went up a notch or two! 👍

that they do...lol
What a save! That corner at the end of the hill :O
yeah and that rut in the ground certainly stopped me pretty quick too. sopretty lucky to get out of it with no damage to bike or rider.

Good save ! At least you kept it upright. Going down in the middle of nowhere isn't much fun.
i'd say not. and its pretty quiet out that way. in fact i was on that section of road for a good hour and saw no-one

Glad to seee you managed to keep it upright. Might have taken a bit for the heart rate to drop.
must admit there was no time i thought i was going down unlike the day on the suzuki vstrom 250 sx when i hit that mud patch and i knew it was over
Those Tractionator tyres must have come in handy. Hate to imagine what the stock tyres would have been like.
i'd say so as those last few seconds before the bike stopped would have gripped them well. i decided to follow that tyre/water rut rather that go over it as i thought that might not end well

Are you affected by the honda speed sensor recall that's been just announced?
i have not heard anything that one
New pair of boxers required after that one😂
yeah i had a few quiet words while i rode it out. once i hit that could be water erosion channel that stopped me pretty quick there

no idea what went wrong but when i looked at the footage it looked like another single track had been there before me. next time out that way i will stop and take a better look there

i really dont know what happened. it was pretty windy and when i played the footage back it looked like another bike had gone bush too.
that is looking at footage before i got to it
