Great video! However, you left me disappointed. You didn't sniff the filament after you opened it 😞. But! You made up for it in the rest of the video, and love the red tint 👍
Thanks so much! It is hard, and oh wow is it a learning experience! I love learning though, and trying my hardest. Thank you for supporting, helping and being a positive influence bluedude! 💜
Ah, it wasn’t that hard to see, I had to watch it 1,000 times while editing! 😆 I have extra ring lights, I could put one there, and then adjust the rest of the lighting for it. 😣
That's Yuge!! If you can figure approximately which layer it failed, you could probably print the rest of it and glue it to the top. What do the minerals do in the filament? Does it make it stronger or is it there to give it the matte finish? OOPS! It looks like maybe you did print the missing top.
The minerals give a softer more pliable characteristic as well as that matte finish, also it makes it quite a bit more eco-friendly, as there is an abundance of "dirt". Yes, I did print the top, but I wanted it perfect, not-detectable. So we may do something else to save it!
That helmet is recoverable just work out which layer it finished at ie measure height and use layer height from slice cut print at that height keep top part and start printing from there use hot glue gun to stick helmet to plate
Of course, if you are finishing it, then it doesn't really matter - I have the layer count and have printed the piece but there isn't a way to make it perfect as a raw print, you will always see that line, unless it is finished with bondo, primer and painting.
Great vid. Hope to see that Voron Content aoon. If you need help, I'm sure the young enterprising new content creator PatrickW3D and his bug eating sidekick AttnDfcyEngineering would love to help, would make a good colab vid.
@LoyalMoses yeah, be careful, that 2 weeks quickly turns into 6 months which quickly becomes a year. I do speak from experience. My down time was part injury part burnout.
@@Luptonium it’d be 2 weeks of focus on long form content! It’s tough to have a day between streaming, to work on lighting and audio for filming, only to be reminded that the next day there is a stream, so you can really change or test too many things. I hope you can get back up and going!

I cut that part, sniffed it way too long, uncomfortably long.
@@LoyalMoses - It’s ok! I’m sure we can find you a therapist 😂. Great content Loyal 👍
3:24 Hey that's me! 3:29 And that's my wife! Her name isn't really Moose btw just incase anyone was wondering lol
ha! 💜 It's true, that's you!
The hero himself. Thanks for helping out.
I'm glad we got confirmation on that
I'm stoked for the agriculture content. I'm always looking for ways to improve my gardens with 3D printing.
It will be fun! Crazy, up here on the mountain we are dropping into the 40s at night, summer is just slow to roll in.
@@LoyalMoses Oh man, I know the feeling. It's warm right now in northern Wisconsin, but our summer is short and winter is long.
Those are some of the coolest helmets to ever exist ever in the history of forever
Yes!!!!
We can't get your filament in Australia.
It’s on Amazon, but it’s so expensive! I wish we could have it there for you at a good price!
I can fix that!😁
Haha
Awesome video and the helmets turned out epic
Thank you!!!
The video felt like a nice chat. Lol.
Glad you enjoyed it!!!
I like that you're growing out your beard to look more like me and Patrick :)
Ha! YT held this for review. 😆
The failed printer looks like a Is a great planter
That would be epic! 🔥
so proud to see you guys keep getting better at these videos even though i know they can be a pain to make good video to!

That Lulzbot has a giant z! I thought the Ender 3 max, ender 5, k1 max etc were big but that's next level!
HUGE!!
Great video Loyal.
Thank you Jerry!
Hi, it me, helping the engagement algo go brrrrrrr.
Brrrrr!
Surprised you don't have a ring light around the camera. It was hard to see the spool when you tried to show it off.

can you make a key chain that would be really cool
Key chains are pretty cool, and 3D printers can definitely make them!
👍😃

Thanks Lup! Sometimes I wish I had like two weeks of quiet time to focus!
