Hey there, in the WvW roaming clips, Sylver is playing either Soulbeast or Untamed, and in the PVP clips, I am playing Soulbeast. Those are both expansion specs. If you don't have the expansions yet, you can definitely play Core Ranger (that's what we call the base game specs) and still be somewhat successful for sure. Hope that helps. Welcome to the game!
