- There were emotional farewells at Kyiv's main train station as more people fled the Ukrainian capital. The tearful partings came as Russia warned residents on March 1 that it would begin to hit targets in Kyiv and as a massive column of Russian armored vehicles moved closer to the city.

I've been at that train station. Took the train to Kharkiv. Just about one year ago. So terrible to see this happening now.

unless you are 10yers old or something, you should know better that all this happening all over the world..and many by US/Europe invasion of other countries.
This is mild compared to the stuff happens in other war torn countries. If only other conflicts received this much coverage, we might have implemented a better system to prevent these wars.

This is so f@$ked. As a father, it is so hard to see these people going through this. Parenthood changes you. It allows you to feel an ounce of the hurt these people are going through having to say goodbye to their babies, children and families.

Heart breaking. My thoughts and prayers go out to the amazing Ukrainian people. It’s sad that we as human beings haven’t progressed far enough to avoid these meaningless tragedies which are brought on by decades old Cold War division mindsets. Actually, I should I say our governments haven’t. To me, it seems like people all over the world are largely on the same page. No war. Also, no tyranny. When will governments everywhere listen to the actual people? When will the actual people force them to? I hope and pray this all ends as peacefully as possible.

Have you heard of the Second Congo War, Syrian Civil War, Iraq War, Darfur Conflict, Boko Haram conflict, Afghanistan War, Yemeni Civil War, or even the refugees from Donbass 7 years ago when Kiev bombed their cities? Have you seriously not been aware of refugees your whole life before your national media covered it?

There were no Donbas refugees because Kiev never bombed civilians.
There were very few instances of collateral damage, but that's it.
Plus, the separatists started it.

This is reminiscent of the Blitz or even the Kindertransport evacuations. My whole heart goes out to that man. To all of them. I can't believe this is happening again.
