- We are getting started on a new project for a client, this is a two story 12x24 home addition in which the bottom will match the existing walk out basement and be a dedicated shop, and the upper floor will match the main floor of the home, adding a full bathroom to that floor with an extra living room/flex room. Here Karl and I are installing a Sterling STORE+ 48"x34" shower kit. Karl has some great tips to get you through your install.

I think in the directions on these drains it tells you to use silicone and do not use plumbers putty but read your directions.
So you just drywall right over that flange? Do you notch the back of the drywall out to make it flush or anything?
Yup just right over it with no notching. You will have a little bit of slope, some people use caulk to finish it to the tub and some use a drywall edge for a nice clean line before the unit.
