How ridiculous is it that yet again we have to rely on 3rd party apps to do what Apple should have done in the first place? You would think only one person was working on software out of a garage still with the obvious details they miss over and over. It’s so annoying.

@@N3K0553 Been there done that, didn’t like it. Much happier with iPhones, even if there are some issues still. But by and large Apple has been pretty good about addressing my issues and making the platform more customizable even if it takes them forever. I also like the ecosystem as a whole better. The Apple TV for instance is a way smoother experience than the clunky Android/Google TV experience. And Google really has nothing to compare to a full Mac computer.

I quite like to see random photos, sometimes it shows me photos I had completely forgot about.
It keeps showing me photos of my own stupid face, and I swear I don’t take many photos of myself. Most of them are really old photos from when my wife and I were just dating and we would send goofy photos back and forth.

The photo widget I'm currently using on my Galaxy let's you change the kind of cropping (center fit is what I'm using) so each photo keeps it's aspect ratio which is what I like, especially for slideshows. The widget I used on my previous Galaxy didn't do that. Just wondering if this widget does the same or if anyone knows another app that does it for the iPhone because I'm planning on switching over.

What apps are you allowed to change the icon for an app? I have a motivation app on my phone that allows me to select what icon I would like to use for the app. Have you seen this yet?
shortcuts
Hey mate!! You can change the icons of your apps using Shortcuts!!
Firstly, go on shortcuts and click on all shortcuts.
Then, click on the + sign on the top right corner.
Click on “Add Action” and then on “Search for apps and icons”
Search “open app” and click on it
When it says “choose app”, choose the app whose icon you want to change
Now click on the bottom right icon, which is a folder with an arrow (a download kinda icon) and click on “Add to home screen”
Now here, it shows you a preview of the shortcut, Change the name of it to the app’s name.
Now click on the icon next to new shortcut, and then click on “Choose Photo”
After choosing your photo and renaming your shortcut, click on “Add”
Then you can click on cancel and “Delete Shortcut” or you can just add a voice command to it, that doesn’t affect the icon.
Even if you delete the shortcut while clicking cancel the icon will still be on your home screen.
Click on it and you can go to your app!! :D

All they had to do was let you choose an album to display. It’s so obvious. Instead they choose for you at random.
Apple’s like,
“You don’t wanna see those pictures of your family or your pets. No! How about this screenshot you took of a pair of shorts you were thinking about buying? How bout that?! 😀 How about this photo of John Lennon you saved from a google search in 2018. Remember that one?!”

I’ve tried using third party apps in my + sign thing but they aren’t showing up. When I type in photo widget, I only get photos. I’m not able to add any widgets from the third party widget photo widget. Any help would be appreciated!

Changing different photos all time made my fiancé to know to that I’m married as I opened my iPhone 📲, she saw the tagged widget with a photo of me and my wife.
Apple please try another way out so that our widget can be showing a specific photo as we demand it to do so.

Hi can we keep Google photos cluod stored photos as widgets ?because I stored many photos in cloud I thought it will be great it shows in my widgets but currently Google photos iPhone wigets shows only memories which is one or many years old pics
