  • Here is a special upload that I'm excited to share! This is the first video of a new Autocar DC in action here on UA-cam, and the first video of A.J. Blosenski!
    In person, the DC reminds me a lot of a Mack Granite, and a Peterbilt 567, but with Autocar's own twist to it. I heard nothing but positive things about it, but as new as it still it, time will tell how it holds up compared to it's competitors. This truck was the second DC to come off the assembly line, A.J. Blosenski also has the very first truck to come off the line, and its a rolloff. As for A.J. Blosenski, they are a family run operation based out of Honey Brook PA, and have a fleet of tricked out trucks that are always polished, shining, and donned with fancy lighting, and chrome accents!
    I got super lucky when I went out to search for this truck, finding it before I even got to the center of town, to begin looking for it. It was a bit difficult to film, because of how spread out the route was, but I managed to get a few videos worth of footage of this awesome truck! This crew was on the ball, not skipping a beat all morning, regardless of the frigid 15 degree temperatures, and half the cans being buried in snow banks.
    Huge thanks goes out to the driver and loader for letting me tag along, and giving me some info about the truck!
    Another big thanks goes out to all the guys from A.J. Blosenski who helped me figure out where this truck would be, and when!
    I hope you guys enjoy this truck as much as I did!
    Enjoy!

      They've focused on making cabovers for the last few decades, and are trying to re-emerge into the conventional market with this new-age DC.

    Great job on this one and congrats on being the first to film one of these conventional Autocars. I enjoyed the guy on the back, he was working pretty fast especially for the conditions. Definitely an old school feel to the truck, I kept thinking this was like 20 years older than it actually was. The red paint helped with that too but it honestly looks really professional. Super cool to see a new truck like this nowadays!

      Thank you! I have a feeling this truck is the first of what will be a bunch of these popping up and being put to the test across the country! Time will have to tell if these modern versions will hold up to the classic DC legacy!

    Congratulations on being the first filmer of an Autocar DC64! Truck sure looks sharp, and has a great sound! I wonder what engine is in this one, Cummins L9 or X12? I wish my company bought some DC64's, would love to see one paired up with a Heil DuraPack 5000!

      Thanks! It will probably take some time, but I can see some fleets that mostly have conventional cabs to start to try some of these out!

      Thanks! Yes, some old BFI and Allied carts were scattered throughout the route. Republic sold their residential customers to AJ not too long ago, so now AJ collects them.

    Awesome video and quite the truck! Gotta love the videos of these small companies, especially since they're the ones with lots of the cool trucks! Honestly this is, imo, a nostalgic truck in a newer body. Interesting for Autocar to come out with a brand new truck like this! The paint looks really good, even more so in the snow!

      Thanks!! A.J. Blosenski has quite the fleet, all of which are painted, polished, and always looking their best. Time will have to tell if this truck will hold up to the legacy put forward by the DC’s of the past.

    Congrats on being the first one to find this truck! Really cool to see this in action. I was wondering if any company’s would get it around here but probably not for a while.

      Thanks! I really haven’t seen any other companies get these with anything other than a Rolloff on them, so for now I’m pretty sure this is pretty close to the only one out on route anywhere. I’m sure over time there will be some that start to get purchased and tested out.

    So glad someone was able to get footage of the DC! Autocar definitely didn’t disappoint on how it looks, I hope it stays dependable over the years. Wouldn’t mind seeing more of these pop up, these seem to pair well with any RL body, excellent work!

    • @IWS15
      @IWS15  3 роки тому +1

      Thanks! This truck runs some pretty spread out, rural routes, so it’ll probably rack up miles fairly quickly and put the Autocar through a good test.

    Great video! Loved the sound, and the drive up shots. Truck has a good amount of lights which make it look very sleek. Was this the route you filmed one of the recycle trucks on? Seemed to be a lot of cardboard here.

    • @IWS15
      @IWS15  3 роки тому

      Thanks! AJ trucks always have extra lighting on them, and early in the morning they’re really hard to miss! I didn’t film the recycle truck on this route, and somehow I didn’t see it at all, but all of their recycling is dual stream so I figure it’s a split body of some sort.

    Awesome video! Truck definitely sounds a lot better then I expected! What's up with them picking up the Republic cans? And why were WT cans out there, I thought that was an all AJB contract

    • @IWS15
      @IWS15  3 роки тому

      Thanks! This was actually filmed over the span of a few Townships, so there was an exclusive AJ Township, and then some open market ones, however I believe republic sold some of their resi customers in certain areas here to AJ.

    • @IWS15
      @IWS15  3 роки тому

      @@silverado15 Yeah, I like to head out with a plan, especially when I’m driving 2+ hours to find a specific truck, it sucks driving all that way to leave empty handed, lol. I have encountered a handful of crews that have wanted no parts of being on camera, but I’ve had really good luck with finding crews that have had no problem with it, and let me get some good video, even though they don’t understand the whole video thing. Editing doesn’t take that long usually, although I’m very particular and kind of a perfectionist when it comes to editing, so I’ll re-edit the whole video two or three times if I’m not satisfied with the first version. Thanks for watching and subscribing!
