I'm surprised how little was done with the pond and surrounding planting. You need to come visit my Aquascape Pond to see what an ecosystem permaculture designer does to an aquascape pond. I've got Kevin beat 1000x over. Gauntlet thrown.
Anyone see that Canadian Permaculture Legacy Guy who commented? His pond is insane. Maybe you could contact him for a list of plants he planted around his pond. What an artist!
Depending on the type of elderberry. I think I got two two male black elderberry and one black female elderberry. The one is 6 feet high the other two are 1 1/2 feet high, and they are not pruned. Kinda spindly though.
He should contact his local/regional Master Gardener extension office. They can provide a list of plants that are perfectly adapted to that area and won't require additional watering/resources (once established). It's hard to believe but there are people who love terrestrial plants as much as the Pond Guy loves his aquatic ecosystems and they're eager to share their knowledge! Thanks for another awesome video, Greg!
@@alisonmcinnis9997 That was my first thought as well- I couldn't figure out why an "epic gardener" was asking for advice on landscape design and plant selection from Greg. From what I can tell, Epic Gardening is exclusively a food gardening channel(which is an awesome skill/hobby). Then I realized he probably lacks landscape/native plant design knowledge in the same way I lack specific knowledge about growing a wide assortment of food.
Hi, how are you? I would like to become a distributor of your products in Brazil. Would it be possible? There are no companies with similar products here, and the ponds market is booming. Thank you very much. Sincerely Guilherme.
How are those flagstones locked in place. I think he said dry set? I love the way it looks and can imagine a fire pit area done this way around the edge of a pond.
Yes! I've been waiting for this video. I've been big fans of both your accounts @epicgardening When I saw the collabe with Ed, I just knew The Pond Guy would have an epic video to share! Great work Kevin and Aquascape!

Your pond is insane. The planting around it only magnifies it. It's a work of art.
Something tells me this yard will be looking spectacular once the landscaping is finished. It already has a great start!
Love this! I love seeing some of my favorite UA-cam channels come together. Now you need to do a pond for urban rescue ranch 😂
Working on it
So great to have you over Gregg! Learned a lot and the pond is gonna be even better next time you come out!
Absolutely amazing 💪

Two channels we’ve been following are collaborating! 😀
Very nice eco system.
for the back i would TOTALY recomend a banana tree they get huge and look amazing
What I wouldn't give for clear water, it just makes the pond.
Pond looks beautiful! Kevin has a really good UA-cam channel check him out!
Idk how elderberry grows there but that would be a great height for blocking, medicine for you and birds love them!

Great video!
Awesome
What a great idea for the cachement. Right next to the pond and as a patio too.
Hello my friend. This is more than just a video, you put love and passion into it. Great job! Good luck! 🌹👍
Thanks!
Nice backyard but it could use some shade it's too hot to just sit out there in the sun
🔥💕👌👍

I mean, if he's Epic Gardening, one of the biggest garden youtubers around, shouldn't he already have an idea of this?
