I still remember the night it just clicked and I started copying n my head at high speed. I was yakking with a friend across town on 80 meters, we started out around 10wpm and slowly started speeding up as the night wore on, the last hour we were going at each other at around 24wpm! And I was sending with a straight key!!! My wrist was sore the next day! I am rusty now, need to refresh my code skills. I am part of a local 2 hour a week 2 meter CW net with the goal of teaching people. We have one rule, if someone asks you to slow down, SLOW DOWN! We had one guy who was a jerk and speeded up. He is no longer allowed to check in and we ignore him. He tried jamming, I told everyone it is good training for a crowded band and work through it! He gave up and last I heard moved to a different state, he kind of made the local VHF group angry and everyone started to ignore him even on SSB...
This was an absolutely great talk with everyone. Thank you Josh. I joined the LICWC earlier this month. I haven't joined a class yet as I don't have a rig, but after seeing this I'll be joining tomorrow.
LICW has been a great club to be a part of. Besides learning CW, I’ve enjoyed the portable operations class and several one off topics, especially the Green Bank Observatory and the working mobile military radio kit. Add in friendships FTW.
Although we all learned the alphabet song (A-Z in order) in Kindergarten, we didn't learn to read by starting with A and ending with Z. We learned with short words like c-a-t and b-a-t.
Never say sorry! How do Brits cope in this club? ua-cam.com/video/H8PWID4bzzA/v-deo.html Some time ago Josh reviewed a Morserino trainer/transceiver kit. Is it helping now the morse training is being stepped up?

Man, the supportiveness of this club is giving me the feels. I don't even do anything with radio and I'm loving this.

What a fantastic CW club with some awesome members! I really enjoyed this live stream and look forward to more from the LICW club. Thanks Josh...73!
What a nice bunch of ops. Great attitude about learning CW.
I agree!

Great video Josh. Would like to follow your progress. This was wonderful.

Metonym: when a particular stands for the class, like Kleenex for tissue paper, or Coke for soft drink.

Yes I want to learn CW I have wanted to for years
Didn't get to watch live but howdy to my old friend Flip from AE7V
Thank you for these videos. My hearing is the issue. My old ears, have a hard time keeping the characters from running together.
What HOWARD SAID ABOUT GETTING ON THE AIR IS ABSOLUTELY VITAL. ( and very scary) once you’re committed, it shocks you into learning
Great as always Josh. However, to the extent you can control it, the ads on this are horrible. Seemingly every 5 minutes.
Is there a reason why they don't teach the alphabet in alphabetical order for Morse Code?
