Thanks for watching and thanks for taking the time to comment 🙏. I was able to barrow a drone for this shoot. I hope to get one like you in the future. What drone do you use?
@@Sunni_days no problem, I've watched a few of your videos now and really appreciate the effort put into them. I use the dji mavic pro 2. Camera is pretty nice out of the box but fps is lacking. Im sure there is a better option for a better price now.
@@wake_mann Thanks, the videos are fun to make, but definitely take a bunch of planning on my part. Just trying to get people stoked on wakeboarding & wakesurfing! You do a pretty great job at doing that yourself. I've looked at the mavic pro 2, one thing I want out of a drone is a "follow mode" so I can put it in the air and then start wakeboarding/wakesurfing and it will follow along and get some good shots. Most of the filming I do by myself (Similiar to you, from all the videos I've seen)
@@Sunni_days Thank you, I try and that's how I know you are putting in a lot of effort. The follow modes are nice but definitely not what you want them to be yet. I've done a lot of follow mode attempts for wakeboarding and wakesurfing and never end up with the footage I want. I've learned to take what I can get with drones and get more scenic shots with them. Seems drones have a hard time with contrast between what it's following and the water. Also, wakeboard speed seems to be too much for the drone a lot of times. Now if you were to get someone who can gather good experience flying the drones while you ride or drive the boat that is where you will get the good shots.
@@wake_mann good to know. I was able to get my brother-in-law to come out film the drone shots in this video, it was super helpful. I’ll shoot you a DM through Facebook with my contact info.
Thank you for this input! This is a great idea. I am not sure if I currently have the capacity to produce this video. There are 2 approaches I use when trying to do this. 1. Flip the boat 180 degrees so you are still docking with the starboard side. This works pretty well because you have more control with the back end of the boat sliding to the starboard side. This is similar to the nose picker technique, but let the side of the boat come to the dock instead of the nose. 2. Dock it on port side. This one you must come in even more aggressive towards the dock. Still at an angle. At the last second turn starboard, then hit reverse pretty aggressively to pull the back end of the boat to the dock. I always like a second set of hands using this technique.
Are you kidding? Do you want to install every year a new gear-box? 🤣🤣🤣 A perfect docking sounds like that: Starboard: Drive slow with forward-gear in an 45 degree angel to the dock 2x Boat lengths away put the gear into N 1x boat length away put the gear into reverse (NO STEERING!), wait until the boat stops and kiss the dock tie your lines to the dock. Finish Portside: Drive slow with forward-gear in an 45 degree angel to the dock 2x Boat lengths away put the gear into N 1x boat length away put the gear into reverse (STEERING away from the dock!), wait until the boat stops and kiss the dock tie your lines to the dock. Finish Do you noticed the difference? 😂😂😂
Brilliant Blake! So incredibly helpful!
Thanks man. Have a great day!
Fantastic tutorial, thanks a lot from Spain!
Thank you for watching. Glad I could help! 🇪🇸
Nice tutorial.
Thank you 🙏. Hope you have a great day.
Great video! Lots of effort on the angles and editing.

Awesome skills there! Great information. #VRAFAM
Thanks. #VRAFAM.
Cool video, I liked the detail!
Thank you 🙏. Hope it helps!!
Do a port docking with this boat, ramps are busy, cant always dock starboard. Or wait.
