My dad was journalist and a friend of his sent The Nose to him on a cassette tape years ago. We played it every Thanksgiving at the end of dinner (after lots of wine) and at Christmas Eve again at our annual dinner with the neighbors. It came to be completely identified with the joy and laughter of our holidays. And they were filled with them.
I knew I needed a good laugh. So I chose this. I was not wrong in my assessment. Thank you Tommy Lasorda. God rest in peace. My favorite will always be when he said Kurt bevacqua couldn't hit water if he fell out a boat. Classic
Dittos! YOU ever hear the one when Lasorda Tells Davey Lopes "Get the Fk" outta here!" He goes on about him how he can't field or hit so shut the Fk Up! I think there might be part of it with Doug Rau being relieved by Lasorda.
RIP Tommy Lasorda. You were a great ambassador for the game of baseball. My condolences to his family. friends, colleagues, and fans that loved him and his spirit. He was so much fun to watch during baseball games. The world has lost a pioneer of what it means to be a true believer in what sports brings to people.
RIP Tommy! Like Howard Cosell, he really told it like it is! I did meet Tommy a few times in our Baseball circles and he was always a nice man to me! He will be missed!
If only the post game interviews today were anywhere near this entertaining I’d watch everyone of them. Instead all we get are the same canned responses over and over again.
Tommy and Simers just had this connection that isn't explainable, Tommy getting his feathers all ruffled and Simers letting Tommy combust, then comes back with a one-liner to make Tommy Sh%t his pants LOL "How do you spell it?"
I never cared for the LA Dodgers but always loved Tommy. True story - I was living in Brooklyn directly across the street from Bamonte's restaurant - a restaurant that I always knew he visited when in NY. I'm on the stoop just passing time and I see Tommy come out of the restaurant with his driver and walk to the car directly in front of the stoop of my apartment. I had a Brooklyn Dodgers hat on and as I'm approaching him to shake his hand, he notices it and say's, "nice hat". I tell him I'm a Met fan and he says, "You guys got my two guys Valentine and Piazza - you guys are going to be good." Shook his hand, told him I was always a fan and he wished me well. Always loved the guy. This was 1999.
I love Lasorda’s mock outrage about Bevacqua’s accusation. In a gentle, thoughtful voice: That is very very bad for that man to make an accusation like that. Followed by a bald faced lie about never ordering pitchers to throw at hitters. Lol.
"Garvey?! Garvey(!) needed a fucking OAR to hit the fucking ball Today! ...I'd a tell ya, he'd of made a fucking great fucking cricket player; hit the ball in one fucking bounce!" One of the best, RIP Tommy Baseball
Lasorda is living proof that stress and anger is not bad for your health.
Mediterranean diet and a good woman?
Lasorda rocked with Slim Fast and he swam every day. 😂😂
Tommy Lasorda lived to be 93 years old. He lived a good long life.
I listen to this once a week, just to bring me back to my America.
Got that right! Thanks to Obama.
Uncle Nick all time classic!
This is what i miss in sports today, right here.
So true
When were you born

Can I leave my family and join yours?😂
Tommy was simply ... THE BEST of the Best !!
🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹R.I.P TOMMY 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹 our beloved fat little Italian! I will always enjoy listening to Tommy's tirades. Life well lived!
Remembering Tommy Lasorda (1927 - 2021). No more problems.
Bevaqua...."couldn't hit water if he fell out of a fucking boat". Best line from a manager ever.
LOL!!
🤣
A real zinger...lol. RIP Tommy 💙⚾️🙏
Grew up watching Tommy.
A classic.
Had to watch this again. It never gets old! RIP, Tommy.
RIP Tommy. Dodgers nation will miss you. There will never be another.
Even though I'm a Phillies fan, I loved Tommy and still do. He bled Dodger blue witn so much pride. Never another. R.I.P. to a legend.
R.I.P. Tommy...Thank You for the memories and sound bites like this!!
The world needs more people like Tommy who tells it like he sees it. But unfortunately you can’t do that anymore. RIP Tommy.
Billy Manuel Martin too!!!!!
It just takes one person to tell the Karens to F off and not apologize for it. We’ll find them somewhere someday
Man!!! Just for these recordings, he is a baseball GOD!!! Howard Stern was even playing these clips on his tribute show to Lasorda!!!RIP!!!
This never gets old. Love Tommy!!
RIP. And Bevacqua *still* couldn’t hit water if he fell out of a f***in’ boat.
When I was pitched I’d send a limo to make sure you were in the lineup
"I'll tell ya what I think about it!"
😂😂😂😂😂
Garvey needed a horn to hit the guy!!!
That line was gold, man...pure gold. RIP Tommy.
RIP Tommy...there will never be another like you. 💙⚾️😢
"Yea, that's what it smells like....Slimfast."
I am literary in tears listening to that part. Haha
The 2021 world needs more Tommy Lasorda’s.
sports needs guys like this again.
It'll never happen. Those days are gone, too many people get offended now.
The 42 people who gave this a thumbs down are rabid Kurt Bevacqua fans.
Kurt had an amazing 1984 World Series. Check it out.
@@bnegs521must have won the series right? Oh wait I forgot who he played for
@thatdude1528 check out what he hit.
RIP
He was an artist with words. You could listen to his rants all the time.
I knew I needed a good laugh. So I chose this. I was not wrong in my assessment. Thank you Tommy Lasorda. God rest in peace. My favorite will always be when he said Kurt bevacqua couldn't hit water if he fell out a boat. Classic
Hey Steve, you & Lenny are BOTH total DCHBAG'S. As of 9/13/18 LASORDA IS STILL ALIVE @ AGE 90!!!..STUPID AZZHOLES!!!
John Doe Rest In Peace lmao 😂
Been looking up Lasorda clips. The guy was just a legendary baseball character.
I hope he's up in Heaven giving Jim Healey more material for his show
Right
Amen to that!
Jim Healy was a legend.
I'm sure he's doing it right now. ⚾🎙️😁
This was great!!! RIP Tommy, there will never be another like you!!!
Great to hear all the Lasorda quotes that Jim Healey used to play on his radio show, without all the bleeps. Thanks!
Dittos! YOU ever hear the one when Lasorda Tells Davey Lopes "Get the Fk" outta here!" He goes on about him how he can't field or hit so shut the Fk Up! I think there might be part of it with Doug Rau being relieved by Lasorda.
Wzystko Cokham Don't remember hearing Lasorda cuss out Davy Lopes. But the Rau one? Yeah that's one of the better ones.
Wzystko Cokham he didn't tell Davey to shut the fuck he approached the mound to calm Rau because he was getting hot from Tommy's insults.
RIP to one of the all time greats.
Is it just me, or should Joe Pesci do a biopic of him?
I actually thought it was Joe Pesci 😂
Exactly what I was thinking. Parts of it sound exactly like Pesci in GOODFELLAS
Yesssss!!!
RIP you SOB!! Love you ❤️
Im struggling to breathe listening to this 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
He sounds like Joe Pesci in 'Casino'.
Eric Roberts Or Joe sounds like Tommy.
Priceless
They won it all for you tonight, Tommy.....they won it all for you.
Jim Healy's soundbites without the bleep I love it!!
As a Giants fan, this man was LEGEND!! lol Loved the guy!!
Tommy is gold.
They don't make 'em like this guy anymore. You will be missed, Tommy. R.I.P.
This is classic.....we have become so sterile as a society today, he could not get away with this anymore. Too bad. Life used to be fun.
this really does capture "life used to be fun"
your right.
"See ya Joe"
*you’RE right
Oh kay buuumer
IF YOU GONNA SWEAR MAN THIS IS THE WAY TO IT
Quite possibly the most "F" Bombs I've ever heard outta one man in such a short time span. A few "MF" and "CS" bombs for good measure, as well.
That is just Bob Knight ordering breakfast.
And one S bomb.
Even impresed Joe Pesci.
How would you like to see a round table discussion with Lasorda, Earl Weaver, Mike Ditka, and Bobby Knight? Goddamn that would be crazy.
Would be epic. I'd Include Billy Martin if he was still alive.
That would be awesome
Entertaining as fuck!:Don't forget Lee Elia
@@antimurphy8212 I'll add Lou Pinella, Ken "Hawk" Harrelson, Joe West, and Angel Hernandez too.
The greatest Dodger we will ever have.
The day he is gone will be sad day in Dodger nation.
Agreed. Never have been a Dodger fan but I always loved Tommy Lasorda!
NFL is rigged Absolutely right! 😁😁😁😁😁
This Braves fan will miss Lasorda when he's gone. Legend.
Will be sad day for sure was never a Dodgers fan but he is one the greatest managers ever.
And that day finally is here...sad is an understatement...😭 RIP Tommy...you were the greatest.
Pesci took notes from Lasorda for mannerisms in Goodfellas and Casino
Funny how?? Like haha funny or funny funny 😂

Best rant ever....Tommy was the best!
RIP Tommy. You will be missed by all Dodgers fans.
Missed by Baseball fans in general. If you love baseball then loving Tommy is only natural.
RIP Tommy Lasorda. You are Baseball.
Between him and Elegant Elliot Offen... I cant get enough!
RIP Tommy! Like Howard Cosell, he really told it like it is! I did meet Tommy a few times in our Baseball circles and he was always a nice man to me! He will be missed!
That was f*ckin' AWESOME!!!!
Damn man... This is gold. Makes Gordon Ramsey and even Bob Knight sound like choir boys
Im a Giants fan but Lasorda is hilarious.
And he wasn't even trying to be funny and that's what makes it even better.
@@de_la_6.515 Exactly, which makes these Lasorda curse outs so kick ass! 👍👍👍👍👍 😁😁😁😁😁
me, too. Giants forever but damn he was hard not to love. He was my spirit animal.
If only the post game interviews today were anywhere near this entertaining I’d watch everyone of them. Instead all we get are the same canned responses over and over again.
We need people like him. Too much doublespeak and PC crap. Lasorda knew his stuff and intellectually and emotionally honest. Bless him.
I always listen to this and share it with my friends on opening day. Tommy is the best!
“I don’t give a shit what the fucking Nose says.” Epic!!!
man, this was hilarious. LOL
Love this guy! Put HIM in charge!
Legend. RIP Tommy!!!
Tommy and Simers just had this connection that isn't explainable, Tommy getting his feathers all ruffled and Simers letting Tommy combust, then comes back with a one-liner to make Tommy Sh%t his pants LOL
"How do you spell it?"
Then Joe McDonell pushes him over the top... Tommy lost it!
RIP to this true original.
Rest Easy Skip 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
#TommyLasorda 💙💙💙
I wonder what Tommy thinks of Kingman's performance.
Rusty Kuntz I’m a Cubs fan I know back in the day, the Dodgers used to kick our ass, but for one day it was nice to see him cringe over Kingman.
What the hell else can you say of his performance, Jesus Christ.
Garvey needed a fuckin' oar to hit the fuckin' ball...he'd have made a great fuckin' cricket player!
Funny stuff Tommy!
Jim Healey's shows were with Lasorda's Rants! The Beeping sounds was EVEN funnier than the swearing! Gosh I Miss him at 5:45pm.
Uncle Tommy. Gotta love him.
Damn when I was a kid he was the kind old grandfather figure on the baseball bunch. Innocence lost! Lol
RIP Tommy

R.I.p. Champ.
He was one of a kind!
From Norristown PA our Finest
👍 😁
Always good for a laugh whilst blazing
One of the greatest characters (and managers) in sports history.
I love Lasorda’s mock outrage about Bevacqua’s accusation. In a gentle, thoughtful voice: That is very very bad for that man to make an accusation like that. Followed by a bald faced lie about never ordering pitchers to throw at hitters. Lol.
when are you ever again going to hear a manager put it as simply as “I’m fuckin pissed off to lose the fuckin game.”
THAT is how to handle the press.
"Penguin!" Loved you Tommy.
“Couldn’t hit water if he fell out of a fuckin boat”.
🤣😂🤣
He makes Gordon Ramsey sound like a saint.......
What's even more hilarious about this clip when he's talking to TJ... There's a guy in the background laughing like a chick 🤣😂
They don’t make managers like this anymore! RIP Tommy you are a legend!
Rest in peace Tommy

R.I.P. Tommy. They don't make 'em like you anymore. Legend.
Reporters love to stick a microphone in a sports figure's face right after a loss and ask them how they feel. Real intelligence for you there.
I love this lol..
God Bless Tommy Lasorda
go tommy!
Tommy's the best, so funny!
RIP Tommy, I’ll always laugh at this video for the rest of my life. Put that in the F%^$ing newspaper.
Best fkn UA-cam fkn video fkn ever..put that in ur fkn paper TJ
RIP 93 years old
Happy birthday Tommy
Rest in blue heaven, Tommy.
How the "F" did Lasorda live till his nineties?
2:14 Gotta give props to the reporter. Not sure if many today are this self-aware.
RIP BLEEDING BLUE, TOMMY LASORDA.
The reporters laughing in the background is the best
