I saw a lot of people in your chat saying this, but with Onryos, even if three firelights have been blown out, if there are more lit candles in the vicinity, it will stop the ghost from hunting. The firelights will also override a crucifix in the area, so if you suspect it’s an Onryo, keep watch on the crucifixes and also your igniter. They can blow that out too.

it's possible the Mare didn't hunt during the Spirit timer because the lights were on in the room (Grian was flicking them) (and it was also next to Impulse throwing stuff). unlikely, because insanity means their sanity was low, but possible. a Mare can hunt in a dark room at 60% sanity, but in a room with the lights on it can hunt only at 40% sanity. still unlucky that it was right as the Spirit timer ended!

Impulse, I really gotta say, as a very frequent vod watcher who’s watched literally every GIGS and JITS stream, I really dislike the new scrolling chat on the screen. Skizz used to have it on his, and I often would click off because I was just so distracted from the actual gameplay. It’s especially apparent when you’re playing a game with such a dark screen. If it was added to popular demand, oh well I’ll deal with it! But if you’re just trying it out, wanted to stick my opinion in. As always though! Love love love you guys playing Phasmo! I really wish the option was there kind of like twitch where you can choose to see chat or not (even though I hate twitch interface, they did get that right!) but that is virtually impossible on vods uploaded to youtube.

My understanding of the Onryo candle thing was that the candles don’t act as crucifixes, but rather, regardless of other hunts happening, the third blow out will result in a hunt
The 3 flames to hunt thing is absolutely true, but flames actually do sort of act as a crucifix with an onryo! However, the ghost has to be within 4 meters of the flame to use it as a crucifix, so if the candle is placed directly onto the crucifix, that will normally mean the ghost has to blow it out before using the crucifix. Unfortunately for the GIGS crew, the tier 3 crucifix has a range of 5 meters, so there's a 1 meter radius the ghost can try to initiate a hunt which will activate the crucifix and not blow out the flame. This is worse if Grian didn't place the candle on top of the cruci (not sure I ever saw where he put it). Edit: I see they covered this! But it's not the worst thing to reiterate. It was just unlucky, really.
@@rhys__piece To be fair, Impulse relit a candle in a challenge mode round, and the Onryo still hunted after the third flame went out anyway, so it’s not an exact science

Hollow Knight was mentioned at the beginning of the stream, and it got me thinking... I'd love to see Imp and Skizz play Cuphead together. It'd be the perfect mix of challenge and shenanigans, and it's a really good game. It would be hard for them to get all the way through since it'll take a few streams and it's a hard game, but it would be a delight to watch.

The onryo test doesnt work when you relight candles when there is another alight. Mostly imp has more than one candle going at once. Have three candles and relight none, or have one candle and relight it 3 times. The candles act like crucifixes, when it blows it out for the third time to start the hunt, with another candle lit it counteracts the test. At least thats my understanding
That’s not exact. The first Onryo hunted because of clashing Tier 3 ranges for the crucifix and firelight, while the second Onryo still hunted after the third light went out

Skibidi toilet is basically just a show where all the characters are heads in a toilet or something like that, it’s meant to be ‘scary’ or something, and it’s kinda weird, I don’t personally watch it but I know a lot of young young kids do.
If Impulse goes for a solo Point Hope stream, it would be cool if he made a goal of getting the Lighthouse Keeper badge, if he doesn’t already have it. It’s a bit of a grind, so I don’t see it becoming a GIGS stream, but it would be another badge for him to show off to the rest of the crew lol

52:00 The ghost wasn’t hunting a lot because of the early smudge do cleanse the area and then consistent smudges during hunts and they weren’t in the right room half of the time either so they didn’t see much happening

Hey Impulse! I saw a lot of people in your chat saying this, but with Onryos, even if three firelights have been blown out, if there are more lit candles in the vicinity, it will stop the ghost from hunting. The firelights will also override a crucifix in the area, so if you suspect it’s an Onryo, keep watch on the crucifixes and also your igniter. They can blow that out too.

I am in the same school as some of these people, and I have no idea what it is. From what I've picked up, it's some sort of trashy animated gen alpha "horror" miniseries that got turned into an equally trashy game? And then people with no sense of humor found it funny and started using it as a phrase. It makes no sense, and I'd recommend just ignoring it. It doesn't mean anything important, and at this point, they're just trying to be "quirky" and "special" by using it.

it's possible the Mare didn't hunt during the Spirit timer because the lights were on in the room (Grian was flicking them) (and it was also next to Impulse throwing stuff). unlikely, because insanity means their sanity was low, but possible.
a Mare can hunt in a dark room at 60% sanity, but in a room with the lights on it can hunt only at 40% sanity. still unlucky that it was right as the Spirit timer ended!

Impulse, I really gotta say, as a very frequent vod watcher who’s watched literally every GIGS and JITS stream, I really dislike the new scrolling chat on the screen. Skizz used to have it on his, and I often would click off because I was just so distracted from the actual gameplay. It’s especially apparent when you’re playing a game with such a dark screen.
If it was added to popular demand, oh well I’ll deal with it! But if you’re just trying it out, wanted to stick my opinion in.

@@mysteriouss7 he did! It’s quite a lot smaller than I’ve seen some other streamers have. And the text does fit quite nicely with the aesthetic he has going on for hermitcraft! I really wish the option was there kind of like twitch where you can choose to see chat or not (even though I hate twitch interface, they did get that right!) but that is virtually impossible on vods uploaded to youtube.
@savviathan I'd love it if Twitch allowed streamers to change the color palette of the little names in chat, Impulse could just make them brown and they would blend right it.
Especially since you can't even read it if you wanted to without zooming in on max resolution

My understanding of the Onryo candle thing was that the candles don’t act as crucifixes, but rather, regardless of other hunts happening, the third blow out will result in a hunt

The 3 flames to hunt thing is absolutely true, but flames actually do sort of act as a crucifix with an onryo! However, the ghost has to be within 4 meters of the flame to use it as a crucifix, so if the candle is placed directly onto the crucifix, that will normally mean the ghost has to blow it out before using the crucifix. Unfortunately for the GIGS crew, the tier 3 crucifix has a range of 5 meters, so there's a 1 meter radius the ghost can try to initiate a hunt which will activate the crucifix and not blow out the flame. This is worse if Grian didn't place the candle on top of the cruci (not sure I ever saw where he put it). Edit: I see they covered this! But it's not the worst thing to reiterate. It was just unlucky, really.
@@rhys__piece To be fair, Impulse relit a candle in a challenge mode round, and the Onryo still hunted after the third flame went out anyway, so it’s not an exact science

Hollow Knight was mentioned at the beginning of the stream, and it got me thinking... I'd love to see Imp and Skizz play Cuphead together. It'd be the perfect mix of challenge and shenanigans, and it's a really good game. It would be hard for them to get all the way through since it'll take a few streams and it's a hard game, but it would be a delight to watch.

The onryo test doesnt work when you relight candles when there is another alight. Mostly imp has more than one candle going at once. Have three candles and relight none, or have one candle and relight it 3 times.
The candles act like crucifixes, when it blows it out for the third time to start the hunt, with another candle lit it counteracts the test.

That’s not exact. The first Onryo hunted because of clashing Tier 3 ranges for the crucifix and firelight, while the second Onryo still hunted after the third light went out

Skibidi toilet is basically just a show where all the characters are heads in a toilet or something like that, it’s meant to be ‘scary’ or something, and it’s kinda weird, I don’t personally watch it but I know a lot of young young kids do.

As a member of gen z. I can confirm that I have no idea what’s skibidi toilet means. I feel that it is more of a gen alpha/very young gen z thing.
If Impulse goes for a solo Point Hope stream, it would be cool if he made a goal of getting the Lighthouse Keeper badge, if he doesn’t already have it.
It’s a bit of a grind, so I don’t see it becoming a GIGS stream, but it would be another badge for him to show off to the rest of the crew lol

Me and my mom were sitting next to each other and I had this vod playing out loud. She was ignoring it, but when it got to the part where you were in the truck, standing next to the sounds during a hunt, she gave me such a look of "really" and "wth?!" That I burst out laughing histarically!😂😂😂
