Since I have been trading with the pipdaq setups which are based purely on price action, my returns have rocketed, but I always use stop limits without question as you must know your risk before entering any trade imo

Use ATR indicator
In general we don't use stop loss orders . It is not the market maker we are worried about its the maker of the market that we are concerned with. Thats two separate people . We do not over trade stop loss orders abort the Plan. You must all ways trade your plan.. We will see you in a couple hours on the TradeStation Moring Briefing.

Not seven bars the trade has to work the very next bar
If your bet is on the high side And the trade collaspes the very next bar but recovers before closing to its beginning price then your trade was an unprofitable successful trade. Successful in that your predictions was correct. To have predicted an up move for the following day you would have seen a double bottom the previous . A double bottom from the two adjoining bars the following day were the price collaspes then recovered to the opening price this a tiny green body with a long tail pointing down That is a strong indication of a terratic up move. but it is not a signal yet you must Waite for the closing of the next day to see if is a green candle no matter how small . that is a definitely buy signal. Buy with confidence that you won't lose too much if your predictions goes sour ? You must make your predictions from the last two previous bars but you must wait to the closing of the next day to get the signal by seeing the completed third consecutive bar
If your are day trading do not use stops you are telling the your competion how week you are. If you are not day trading place your stop the next adjoining price increment to cut your lose to. you really shouldn't trade if you can't watch the screen all day long
If you can't watch the screen the entire time your bet is in play then that is Lack of disipline. or comment. will that make you a successful trader? No because you are not trading a random market but your sole competion is the high-speed trading machines
