I love your videos!! You show CLEARLY what you are doing! You speak clearly, calmly - and your babies/dolls are wonderful! Thanks so much for sharing your talents with us all!! You are an amazing teacher!! You rock!
Wanted to really make my dolls nails look like real nails, now I know how thank you so much. Love watching and listening to all your tutorials, as said by others you speak and show clearly and above all you answer peoples questions and comments, Sadly many fail to do this.
I love your tutorials. You're so knowledgeable and explain everything in a way I get even if I don't have experience with genesis paints. Also, your voice is so soothing!
Hello can you tell me what color dioxide purple to get, I see #4. #41/2 and another one. I am doing my first doll, and I has the premixed colors and have been adding a few things as I go. I had to just play with the colors to get something I thought might work. I did his nails with a color I mixed bit not the purple you have. I've been not rushing at all. I like your style and videos the best, and have been trying to learn as I go. Thanks for all your help.
Thank you for sharing! I'd like to know if before you cure it in the oven you let it dry, or if you put it in the oven just painted. Thanks in advance!
I followed your reborn videos to make a reborn and my doll turned out shiny? She wasn't shiny when I put her in the oven to bake the varnish, but when I took her out her limbs are all shiny ? Have you ever had this happen? And is there a way I can fix it ? Or is there something I can do to prevent it next time? Thanks :)
+hadassah connell Which varnish did you use? Thinning medium and satin varnish have some sheen. Matte varnish only gets shiny if the doll got too hot and started to melt.
+Tina Carmichael It's surprisingly useful! LOL! I got mine from Michael's Arts and Crafts in the section with clay and other sculpting tools. This isn't it, but it came in a set sorta like this: amzn.com/B014W1QABU Secrist Dolls also seems to sell it: www.secristdolls.com/inc/sdetail/9676/82365
well, since I have been watching your "reborn with me" videos, I will be doing the next one your way. My first one doesn't look to bad, if I do say so myself. lol I followed some guidelines and adjusted the paints a little.
I'm sure she turned out great! There's no one right way to reborn, but I try my best to provide enough information to help you find your own style. I'm sure you're well on your way :)
You did a beautiful job woth your reborns, ive watched most of your vids.. one thing, the purplish color that you use by the cuticle area isnt on Caucasians. Ive looked at my nail beds in every light with magnifiers etc and they are pink, peachy in color.I think the purplish color would only apply to ethnic people or babies.
+Lori Widney The only thing that sticks to silicone is silicone. For best results, use a paint based in the same rubber the doll was poured in. Smooth On Silc Pig is a good way to color your painting rubber. For reborn dolls, there are some nice premixed kits, like this one by Terri www.reflectionscasting.com/shop.html
Wow! Those are very realistic nails!

Even though you put the nail paints in the plastic bag will I need to add thinner or anything to it? Will it dry out?
hallo kim, (sorry i can not englisch) thank for the vids from you. is the color genesis? it is for baking? thank you
OK thank you for info.
I am looking for some really good brushes. Does name brand matter or is it more about what the bristle is made of? What would you recommend?
A lot of folks use American Painter and Loew Cornell. But there are many quality brushes out there.
Thanks

What about the gloss
Can you do the same mixture for silicone finger nails ?
Silicone requires a different paint
The white makes the doll look more healthy
Hello how is the name of a product that looks like lacquer finish in baby reborn product used for finalizing the skin??????
There are many sealants and varnishes you can use. I have a list on my blog: customdollbaby.com/reborn-doll-artist-tips/category/skin%20texturing
thanks
what is the name of this paint? and can I use this paint on my silicone doll?
Shawnta Castile It is called genesis heat set paint. I think you do have to get different paint for silicone dolls although.
Linda demais !!!
