Lets go, I knew it was going to be like last time, that golf cart is insane! I think that wheels are better than treads, which is the opposite of what I would have said a while ago, I bet it’s going to take like a 4x4 or 6x6 or higher, with a good gear box to beat that thing, amazing video as always!
Thanks Easton the Lego tyres are so soft! Especially after a few seconds of wheel spinning lol. If the Tank weighed half a kilo more I think it would have the grip on the sloppier surfaces!
Hey Fox I wouldn’t say theyre slippy as on a dead weight pull test they have a lot of grip especially on wood! They even left some rubber down on the wood aswell!
I think a big problem is the tyres are so grippy and when tracked vehicles drive they tend to bounce a little on the sprockets which destroys traction.😀
It's not what about wheels are better than treads. Because if the wheel are pretty soft they have more grip. So it's not wheels are better than treads.
Wheels are hard = less grip
Wheels are soft = more grip
That's why off road cars have soft tires.
I already knew who won because in real life, a golf buggy destroys a tank :p

The squatting really helps with traction
Rubber is just hugely important. The medium grip test really shows that if the treads had better friction (like with rubber, or the underside of a carpet), they would be unstoppable. What you really want is the surface area of treads with the grip of tires, as well as high power but low gearing, and weight wouldn't hurt either.

Could do with more rubber studs, double them and off set them from each other would probably give it the win.

I've never been so invested watching two Lego models battle it out in a tug of war. I knew the golf buggy would win that, although I couldn't take my eyes of the roof; it was really shaking around! Your videos brighten my day, thanks for all your effort 👍

It was almost going to be but it would be slightly too strong lol. A gearbox with this torque would not be a great idea but I will work on one for a future build😀

Hey I just watched the unveil videos, those tracks look great! The first thing I thought was how much will they sell for separately! Expecting a lot! I’d love to see how they do at climbing as I was impressed with beams across the tracks on the dozer!
Yes the top speed car will appear again! I’ve learnt a few things since then(I only needed 3 hubs and not 5! L Motors are stronger under load quite easily etc)
I also have an idea for something completely weird which might be fast! Inspiration from that tracked vehicle which kind of walked! It was fast without trying to be! 😀

Nooo! The tank should have taken it but that tracks kept slipping! The golf cart was able to keep spinning with little slip. Great video even with the tank loss though!
Hey Jerry thank you very much! I’ve ordered some more studs for future vehicles in the hope they help. The tracked vehicles tend to bounce a bit on the sprockets which vibrates and loses grip unfortunately 😀

@@GazRsExtremeBrickMachines I made a 4x4 with 2 geared down power functions M motors and they got DESTROYED within minutes lol, i dont think they are the best motors to use for that xD
Oh no! I guess this is the beauty of the powered up/control+ stuff as they cut out when they can’t move unlike PF.
I do wonder if I’ve damaged the 9398 PF motors as they don’t seem as strong now 😀

Walker on tracks. A walk with track going all around the walker like an MK1 tank. The operator will stand on the tracks and puch the walker

@@GazRsExtremeBrickMachines The lack of a floorboard reduces waighs.when the operater steps on the track the weight of the operater will be on the ground and not weight down the walker. The tracks will prevent the operater from tripping on an uneven terrain. Making it an off-road walk a Motor may assist for walking

The Golf Buggy should have a lot of traction at the rear axle thanks to the suspension, I guess we see the power of it when it breaks the traction and spins the wheels! I'm not sure of that thing is going to get taken down easily, we'll wait and see!
Hey I agree and I think the bouncing up and down is also giving them rims a bit more grip in the tyre! Maybe.. lol 😀
Try replacing the springs with regular brackets, wont be any suspension but it wont be hopping around
Hey I’ve wondered about this hopping around! Does help or hinder? Especially with the issue of the rims spinning in the tyres on the pull test! It could help that

When building vehicles with wheels and tires, have you considered using the rock crusher tires? They r super grippy and could help with the performance of a lot of ur vehicle designs
Which are those tyres, from which set number? The tyres I use off the 42099 are super grippy though! These left some rubber down as they’re so soft 😀

Yo dude your laminate must be grinded off by now 😂😂😂 I kinda knew the golf cart would win , when extended the tank is just too light, all the weight sits its the back and it loses, it needs its weight Compressed to be stronger imo

Why were the treads of the tank instead of being constantly on they were turning on and off
I think it was each time the rear studs went from 3 to 4 points of contact! It was gripping then slipping, Ideally it needed far more studs but there’s already 160 odd on here! I need to buy some more, always lose a few in the garden!
