One of the funniest Korean comedies of the ages. Shin Hye Sun was so funny and the best character. What a terrific actress.

This scene and Shin Hae-suns funny stabbing scene made me want to watch this drama. Until today my alltime-favourite. Long long overdue that it´s now on netflix. I am very happy that more people can enjoy it now. But at the same time it´s a very bittersweet happiness because I still feel sad for the actors and all people involved in this drama. They deserved to get at least many nominations and Shin Hae-sun really deserved an award for her outstanding role. Her chemistry with Kim Jung-Hyun was so good, it´s crazy. Especially for them I wish more great projects in the future. They are very talented and good people
This was by far an interesting concept to blend in the past and present - the attitudes of the women of those days and today has changed greatly and this actress did go all in. She even had facial expressions that reflected her "male" part/yang - incredibly funny and so well acted and delivered. The King just didn't do it for me until maybe 5 episodes in - I was more for the son of the Minister of War. Alas, he was in love with the "old" young woman he grew up with but she was no longer there. Every actor was fabulous and one mention is important. The older lady in waiting of the Queen is a pure character actress and have seen her in so many dramas and she sometimes even outshines the main actresses. Her talent is incredible and she deserves a main role no matter what her age is - maybe in her late 30's or 40"s - not easy to tell with Asian genes as everyone seems to look younger than their actual age. The costume designer could win an award and the scenery was beautiful but it sure looked pretty cold... to think they had no heat... wow.... The ideas in those days were so controlling and manipulative it's a wonder they were able to achieve anything good - this is not meant to be a critical judgement = just an observation. The fight scenes were cool and well executed and must have taken hours to get them all successfully. Great job to the writers, the crew members, everyone involved. Merci, thank you and gamhasabnida!
