My main advice is take it slow… it isn’t hard but I think will get easier the more you do it.

Good job. That wasnt bad at all. The only reason I would take it off for mowing would be because of tight areas where you cant turn very well. If it helps with that but you need traction, look into putting a weight bar and some suitcase weights on the front.

Yeh I need to look into a weight bar. I usually just drop the bucket and go but I’ve been mowing my neighbors 3 acres lately and they have not optimized for mowing with a compact tractor so maneuverability is key.

I’m new to the tractor world and looking at getting a compact sized tractor. I have about 8 acres of field I’ll need to cut with a bush hog. With this tractor brand, about how long does it take to cut an acre?

Hey Brad it’s less about the brand and more about the horsepower, brush hog width and terrain. I have a six acre area that I mow that is steep hillside and it can take me 3+ hours to mow. The deeper and thicker the grass the longer it will take. It’s heard to say just how long it will take. This tractor is 24HP and does quite well with a 60” County Line. brush hog from Tractor Supply. I can mow a little faster on my JD 2032R which is 32hp. Tell me more about your situation.
