Washington Square in San Luis, Torrevieja - Costa Blanca - Alicante with Mike and Yvonne

- Mike and Yvonne visit Washington Square in San Luis and ride from there to Churchills, and Chicken Shack and then finish at The Oasis.
Washington Square houses, The George Bar, The Washington Bar, and Restaurant Cafeteria D'avel as well as a well-stocked supermarket, hairdressers, and a charity shop.
It's not the easiest complex to find out of the 6 in the El Chaparral, La Siesta and San Luis community hubs but it's well worth looking for to find out what's going on there.
The area we visit on the right-hand side of the CV905 going out of Torrevieja just above the empty land called La Hoya houses six hot spots of activity, Washington Square is on Calle Paganini.

Great video , when you went down bank towards churchhills the bus carries on along the the top avenida robleda then turns left at the end and stops outside the plaza tolosa

Think would be good to follow the Bus Route from Shannon into Town, if there are places to wait and have a drink/ food bathroom etc...at each stop, what is the route back and again where are nice places to stop and have tapas, or cold beers.... this would be good for tourists with no transport...
The new Bar at the bus stop beside ITV is very good as an example ...
Hi Gweedoreone, yes that does sound like a good one to do. Things are changing in Torrevieja regarding the buses. There is to be a new terminal opposite the Habaneras Shopping Centre, where that big plot of land is at the flamingo roundabout. We think the airport bus will land there which is great for us. Always on your bikes we have been last January and February in La mata without our bikes.
We intend to take our bike with us because we will be in La Mata next year from January for three months.
Can you recommend us bicycle routes for e-bikes in the region of La Mata and Torrevieja

Hi Peter, Thanks for watching our videos. We have been to La Mata on our bikes several times from our house in Altos del Limonar which is about 5 kms. We always use the cycle paths when possible. There are some good cycle tracks in places particularly around the N332. I get all my info about the tracks from Google earth where you can see them on the images. I have found this to be our best form of discovery.

HI Steven, thanks for your enquiry. Yes there is a bus from where we are and as far as the top of San Luis where you can easily get a bus from there to the beach / town centre. The buses we use are the B bus which goes through Torretas and the G bus which goes through San Luis, El Chaparral etc.
The good news is that there will be a new bus station quite near us, (opposite Habaneras) which will be great and we believe the airport bus will land there instead of the town centre one.

Hi Zareena, San Luis can be found above El Chaparral on both sides of the CV905 road which comes out of Torrevieja center. There is San Luis Lakeside on the left around Mercadona Supermarket by the roundabout and San Luis is also on the right. It's about 4 km - 5km from the Torrevieja Centre. If you are looking for a property there try Casas Espania on the La Siesta roundabout casasespania.com/

Hi Gary we have been in the UK since May 29th. We have got to now wait until end of August before we can go back (due to 90 day rule) we have booked and will be out there from then until the end of November. Hi Mikael, We haven't been but heard about it. It's quite near by car but a bit far on our bikes. It's just before Cartagena on the CT 32 about 50 kms from where we are in Torrevieja. It's 14€ each for the basic tour and takes about 1 hour. Maybe one day we'll go. Thanks for watching, all the best Mike and Yvonne.
