I’ve got four of these generators they’re awesome there’s a couple little tips when turning on a propane tank turn the valve on very slow sometimes it will lock out the regulator if you open too fast also I’d like to shut the propane tank off and let the generator die versus shutting off the generator and leaving propane inside
Picked one up from Costco yesterday and reading up on the manual as we speak... Thank you for posting this video! Really lovingly your work bench btw...
Thank you so much for this video. Was having trouble getting my Fireman WH03242 started for the first time. You solved my problem, I discovered the issue! :)
On my way to Harbor freight to pick up their 5000 dual fuel inverter on sale for 899, but you had to pay extra for the warranty. Stopped at Costco and this exact Firman was on sale for 599 with an included 3 year warranty. Hmmmm…never made it to Harbor Freight. Our RV is a 30 amp smaller travel trailer, a Casita, and this was perfect for it. Nice unboxing.
Did you have an issue figuring out that the LPG regulator was electric and needed to be plugged in? Took me about 30 minutes before I realized it had to be plugged in next to the LPG fitting. Nothing I found in the manual mentioned this. Great video, thanks.
I got same model for good price needed a pull rope so i took apart and now the idle switch doesn't work it still runs ok but it very shaky now when i put a load on it. Everything looks plugged in the to engine computer. 3200 max for gas power its false advertising says on the sticker too
I haven't run it long enough to find out how long it will go on one tank. I have runnit a total of 2 hours and the tank feels like maybe it's used 1/3. I'm sure it is directly proportional to the load on the generator. We bout this as a "just in case" but we haven't really needed it yet. If I get more data I will post it back here.
@@catchingupwiththecodys2861used ours extensively after Beryl here in Houston. Propane lasted as long as 11 hours at probably half load. That's running our 13,500 BTU air conditioner on our camper and a handful of other things within the camper. Gasoline was going as long as 8 hours depending on load and as short as 5 hours. Fyi when I first got the generator I ran it out of gas thinking it would clear the carb enough for storage but when I went to start it on gasoline after the hurricane it wouldn't start on gas only on propane. I fiddled with the air intake and choke and a few other miscellaneous tubes inside and it finally got going on gasoline. My plan now is to start it up once a month on gasoline. Hope this helps.
I think that depends on how long you store it for. They do make additives that you can add to the gas tank to help stabilize the gas. I take mine out monthly and run if for 20 or 30 minutes.
I run mine once a month for about 20 minutes. I would not advise storing for long periods of time with out emptying or treating the fuel. The owners manual has a section for storing procedures and can be downloaded from their website.

That's a great idea!

R u still reading the manual

I'm so glad it was helpful.
What was the issue? I can’t get mine to start!

thanks! Very helpful. But also helps to know the filling of oil. uses all but 1-2 oz of the provided oil
nifty little generator 👍 cool seeing YBC too!
Thanks for the video
Flip box open bottom, return upright and lift box off or generator

Yes. Took me a bit to figure that out as well.
It showes it in the quick start guide
What's in the regulator why's it so big

With the floating nuetral, has this caused you any issues / concerns without the cheater plug?
Anyone know how long it will run on 50 percent load?
How much do you put? The whole thing?
Great review, thanks! What is the name of the device to trick a Hughes surge protector to work, that plugs in to the 20A plug on the generator? Thanks
Neutral plug
Cheater plug
@@AgentOffice Thanks!

80 decibels ?
I thought this was supposed to sub 60 ? 🤔
I believe that dB are typically measured around 30 ft away. Not right next to the unit being measured.
23ft away
I just bought this unit. Seems to be a finicky starter. Starts good with the electric start . Not so good with the rope .
Great Video! How long is the run time on a tank of propane?
I haven't run it long enough to find out how long it will go on one tank.

Can I store it with gasoline inside the tank or do i need to use it all before storing the generator?
I think that depends on how long you store it for. They do make additives that you can add to the gas tank to help stabilize the gas.

Anything more than a month you should empty it. Additives work but not great. Ideally you should run it once a month for at least 15 minutes.
