I think the house is an interesting idea. However it would make it seem to much like an rpg. You could have an option to go home and that’s how you customize your character like in Session. Customizing your house and buying land would be too much

I'd love it if in Skate 4 when you straight slam you don't just disappear but you get up after falling and you actually pick up your board and when you fell and slammed into the ground you actually fall realistically. I'd also love it if there were people who would chase you or mess with you because they hate skateboarding and security guards came back and you could do a B&E into a private place and escape the guards and police. i know you said you had a skate 1 series but you should make a video of just exploring the map extensively showing your favorite spots and stuff. this map looks awesome
its awesome, ive been playing for almost a year and there are parts i still havent explored, and you get to know san van like it's your home, unlike skate 3's map which feels like a giant skate park. (port CARVERton? really?)
I remember skate one being in the skate movie "Street Dreams" when they introduced the "NAC" which is a 360 tre flip to a nollie crooked grind that's what got me into skateboarding and start playing the skate series
2007 game... it was incredible at the time. less mechanics, less tricks but it was smoother and more real compared to 2 and 3. it also had the best city.
Hey nightspeeds, another reason to be able to get off your board, getting a running start for high speed in a tight space. Also IMO my favourite parts of Skate1 are the aesthetic, the heavier physics, and the large continuous map that goes down a giant hillside. Personally I'd love to see them go even larger with a high mountainside road going down into the res for some ridiculous downhill skating.
Please no loading screens, wayyy more storage for custom maps, better replay editor (with filmer mode and online replay editor). Those are, to me, the most annoying parts of skate 3 today.
We absolutely need the music from the first skate. The way the character looks shiny instead of pale like skate 3 and the Map in the first skate I agree it's the best they should just remodel and include the bridges the map is already perfect
skate 1 was such a great game. i remember being 15 walking an hour to a walmart just to play the demo on their ps3 before i got one of the (then) new consoles.
it would be awesome in skate 4 if they started with skate 1 and put the old town, mountain, res and waterfront from 2, with a new area to the side of downtown (a resort zone and airport?) p.s. you can pump anyway you can crouch, and to make the spillway gap, do a nollie.
Skate 4 just needs a complete overhaul. They gotta bring something to the table or else it'll just appeal to trickliners. With games like session on the market I'll be skipping skate unless they obviously do something extremely good.
skater xl and session have such last gen graphics and i can guarantee that skate will be so good with the new motion capture tech as long as they keep it realistic. but realism is also down to the player as you can always break the system with crazy combos.
trickliners and hall of meat is the reason why skate 3 became way more popular around 2014. If the don't add it, jacksepticeye won't be thre to boost it's numbers for people who don't skate
@@djsubliminalreeve You do realize that SkaterXL was made by a small dev team, with unity, an engine known for creating ugly games? You can make some beautiful shit with Unity and im sure they will, but the game is in beta until july 28th. As for "breaking the system" no, you can't d that in SkaterXL, its a "sim" You cant manual 15 times in a row with kickflips, tres and impossibles mixed in, you can't trickline, and thats a GOOD thing, tricklining was fucking awful and ruined Skate 3's online experience. Tricklining was easy as piss, just spam the same 5 tricks over and over so it refreshes what they had in place to give less score for repeated tricks, it wasn't impressive, it wasn't cool, and for those who wanted as realistic of a skating experience as possible back then, it completely ruined it. EA can go one of 2 ways, realism, to compete with SkaterXL, or arcadey, like their previous titles. I'd much prefer they take the realism route but who knows.
@@TomsGarage007 Yeah, because it is totally not like the Skate franchise had a following of skaters who stuck by them from day one or anything. Oh wait! That actually happened.
Man I remember playing thrasher skate and destroy on ps1 back in the day, cops could come after you in the middle of your session and you'd have to escape. I also played grind session on ps1, THPS, and Andy McDonald's pro skating on dreamcast.
I've been playing the hell out of skate 1 lately. I hate skate 3 and wish part 2 had backwards compatibility. Skate 3 just has some weird physics and doesn't feel like 1 and 2
As far as I’m concerned, if Skate had a better replay editor, like 2 & 3, it would be the perfect skateboarding game. I would happily take a remaster of this, unfortunately I don’t see that happening. I am pretty confident that ‘skate 4’ will be very mega ramp focused as that seems to be the main draw of skate 3 which brought in such a huge following.
i feel like skate 4 will follow the roots of the first two games, just seems like its what they want to do, but a skate 1 remaster would be sick. dont forget bonelesses and inverts!
They definitely need to find a way to make more tricks possible. Impossibles, forward flips etc. I think one area they could improve is finding a way to implement good lip tricks more intuitively. I'd love if the story mode covered the player's ascent to being a pro, complete with end game events like getting invited to a nine club interview, haha. I'd love the logo creator to come back, as well as a park editor for sure...
Here's my ideal Skate 4: Visual Aesthetic from Skate 1, maybe also adding a VHS filter for more authentic graphics. Difficulty settings from Skate 3. It was nice having more freedom to choose how you want to play the game. Ragdoll from Skate 1 - 2. Just way better than the stiff ragdoll from skate 3. Storyline from Skate 1. Felt more realistic Park Creator from Skate 3. Only reason why I bought 3 over the first two. Lots of replayability. Security from Skate 1 - 2. Made free roam more interesting than just freedom to skate wherever. And a couple personal suggestions: Day and Night cycle More realistic city with suburb outskirts More customization overall with tons of clothing, boards, and other parts that all affect how you do tricks. Ex: Wider boards flip slower but less likely to land sketchy, skinnier boards flip faster but more likely to land sketchy.
redownload 1, the map is insanely good. I measured it around 5-6 square kilometres, which is larger than any GTA city at the time of release. (about the same size as 3d LoS) its technically the biggest, too, because 2 is 30% forest and 3 is like a small city that was scaled up. also the only one with suburbs.
The main thing Im hoping for from skate 4 is that they design it from the foundation of a skateboarding sim. I remember being on the skate forums when the games originally came out and we had to essentially beg the developers for hardcore mode because EA felt the arcade style was the main selling point. Hopefully they see that the hype for skateboarding games is centered around the lack of a triple A skating sim and they dont cater too much to the arcade stuff. As long as they do that im sure it'll be amazing.
Skate 4 definitely needs proper Switch & Fakie stances without having to 180 hippy jump and holding the right stick down before doing a real Switch or Fakie trick.
You're absolutely right about the map. The map is why I play Skate 1 more than 2 or 3 to this day. But here's what they SHOULDN'T Copy from Skate 1: - Camera that just does whatever it wants. - Overcrowded Jams. - Can't get off board yet still putting stairs everywhere. - Extremely long "follow me" missions. - Unskippable "tech" challenges. - NPC skaters and peds that just hang around and block spots. - Unnecessary ledges on otherwise perfectly good ramps.
I wish we had any idea what direction they're taking with this new skate game since they gave us like no information of any kind on what the game actually is.
7:22 in hc mode you could pop tricks more if you pulled straight down before making the input. For example to make tre flip pop you would pull straight down, slide the thumbstick to left (goofy) and then flick it to kickflip direction. If you pulled the trigger down diagonally (like how the game teaches you) then the tricks wouldn't pop at all. That wasn't explained anywhere and the inability to do certain tricks pushed some people away from the hc mode even though otherwise they would've enjoyed it
I think they should make it like the story of tony hawks underground. Obviously without all the over the top stuff. But if they could somehow make multiple maps. Even if they’re a little smaller. Start at hometown trying to get sponsored by a local shop then for some reason get sent somewhere else to a contest maybe which leads to getting a real board sponsor then you get footage and eventually get turned pro.... etc. I think that would be sweet
They should overhaul the create a park feature. You were very limited in skate 3 from the size and types of features you could build and how many features you could splice together. Plus they should allow you to add more stuff to the parks. I often hit the build limit well before my park was actually finished
lets all make a deal that we will totally ignore skate 4 when it comes out and act like we didnt even notice and NOT BUY IT cause obviously EA saw that people are really hyped on new skateboarding games (SXL and Session) and they just wanna profit from it. im pretty sure they are doing this only for money but the other two games i mentioned are made for the love for skateboarding. dont betray real skateboarding guys thank you!
I think the same controls with just the right stick to do tricks is good but I think it would be sick if you could hold out different tricks like tre double flips and stuff.
I definitely agree with a lot of the commenters here in that the map should be continuous and more like 1 and 2. With the added space afforded with new generation consoles you could have so many different spots. A big ditch-based area like the spots in Arizona would be really sick - the ditches in the series are a little too over the top and all too downhill based. Spots that replicate famous spots in New York, Philly, France and UK would also be really sick.
My dream skate 4: skate 1 map, skate 3 Tricks, skate 3 difficulty (but kinda less pop off of full holds in HC cause that’s annoying) and maybe some like skate 1 type plot
I think they'd do well to fill that gap between arcade game (Tony Hawk series) and simulator game (Skater XL and Session). And would love to see a good story mode. For me nothing beat the story of Tony Hawks Underground 1 yet. Loved it, and it felt _real._ Except for doing a McTwist over a flying helicopter. was kinda rad tho.
Something they should definitely add is proper switch/fakie stances and that skating switch and nollie would change the air time compared to the normal stance
Skate 1 map was definitely the best. Fix Skate 3's hardcore mode and retain the create a park. Refine transition skating, maybe use left stick to lean body in air into transitions?!? With transition in mind, better lip trick capabilities without having to manipulate the game mechanics. Also skate 1 speed glitch is keep nollie-ing from a nose manual as soon as you land in nose manual. And you can pump with grab buttons to bend your knees. Works great in the pools.
Hopefully skate 4 brings a good story, Good map (Similar to skate 1 and skate 2 with many great spots to skate and lots of variety plus the world feeling alive with NPCs and cars). Night and day cycle, Better park creator with more props, Deck and wheel sizes, More tricks, Better animations, We could have more styles to choose from than the regular 4 we had (Aggresive, OG, loose and standard), Good bail system that looks realistic( Could even have the bruises return), More clothing with some new and returning brands. Different shops we could head to in the open world and most of all a great multiplayer with servers we can choose from. I know its years away till we get this game and its still early in development but thats what i would like to see from it!
Here’s my wish list Realistic map Open world (not too big though) Graphics creator Obviously better graphics More tricks Keep flipping your board (say you go to do a varial kickflip, keep the analog stick there and you’ll keep flipping the board) Better radio/music And a nice story mode
Jumping on the skate 4 wishlist bandwagon, here's a big ol' list of shit I would love to see: Controls: -Dual stick controls: would like to see some kind of hybrid of the best parts of skater xl's and sessions controls, e.g. skater xl's ability to control pop height by pulling front foot back & session's left foot/right foot vs front foot/back foot toggle -flick/shove rotation speed, catch mechanics, ability to let the board continue to rotate/flip by holding triggers, just like we've seen in both skater xl and session. -quicker set ups after landing would also be a big improvement both when hauling ass onto and off obstacles and skating shorter obstacles Tricks: -more lateflip variations, I'm talking late varials, late inwards, late hards, late 360 flips. Again with the ability to keep flipping rotating (think late 360 shuvs, late double flips). -more no comply variations, shuvs, tres, lazers, whatever, there's so much more they could do with it if they got creative, also proper bs no complies would be nice (front foot plants on opposite side to where it would be for a fs no comply -pressure flips, impossibles, toe flips, etc., ability click the stick(s) in before popping for whole new variety of tricks -we have dark catches so how about being able to catch primo/primo slides -more freestyle tricks? I'm thinking mainly of caspers and truckstands, maybe you could enter them by some variation of the dark catch mechanic (RB and a direction?), handstands would be cool too -we also have those weird kickflip underflip things (that are actually 1/2 flip 1& 1/2 underflips) so why not alter it to allow for hospital flips & front foot impossibles -ability to do tricks straight into/out of powerslides, also blunt/noseblunt powerslides -wallies -half decent wall rides where it isn't possible to skate along a wall for like half a minute -lip tricks, they're doable in skate 3 but they look shit, maybe more invert variations too -half decent reverts, again skater xl does a great job of this -100% there's a bunch of other tricks I'm missing right now that they could include if they got more creative with their control system Immersion/Replayability : -a great map is obviously a must -a half decent story mode (not just doing meaningless challenges for board sales) -no skate game is complete without a half decent soundtrack -skate shops, tying into that, some sort of in game currency could be a cool feature, tony hawk's project 8 'stokens' system was pretty sick -day/night cycles -being able to add wax to any surface, maybe ledges that don't slide well if wax isn't added -an authentic street skating experience, i.e. skatestoppers (removable), guards, cops, kick outs (tie it into day/night cycles?), people sitting on ledges, etc. -ability for boards to snap occasionally, with the likelihood increasing when skating large drops -realistic, challenging contests. You could possibly even take inspiration from fifa and have an in game calendar and contest circuit with decent rewards for participating in the contests when they come around. Community: -an improved park editor (custom shaping of ramps, rails, etc. might be cool, would definitely allow for more versatility) -make it easier to find other peoples parks, the interface in skate 3 is an absolute mess -also make it easier to find other people, and allow more than 6 in a lobby -an improved central feed/hub, community events and contests would be nice too -improve games of skate, i.e. register tricks properly (late flips just aren't registered in skate 3 online games of skate). You could also make them 100x more interesting by allowing for games of skate on different obstacles -other game modes, battle royale maybe? Or borrow ideas from the minigames in the tony hawk games, some of those were pretty fun (graffiti was dope) -finally I'm sure cross platform & pc would also make a lot of people happy
@@oku1317 First off most aren't ripped from Skater XL, as far as I know the only ones that you could say I've nicked are reverts and the first two points in the controls section (all of which I wished would be in the game before Skater XL or Session even existed), feel free to point out anything else (you won't be able to, you sarky prick). Second Skater XL is a lot of fun but compared to the skate games both Skater XL and Session leave a ton to be desired in terms of clunky controls and animations. If they figure out how to stop the board clipping through feet on almost every trick, catching the board without your feet touching it, the board over rotating before magically turning back on itself for you to catch it, grinding on a ledge/rail without even being close to locked in or the lip animations that are even jankier than anything you can do in skate 3 then yeah I'll probably play more skater XL.
I want a park creator with a no collision option that actually works and a way to change the size of objects that's not small, too big, and way too big.
If we're looking for a hero to praise, that's not Jason Dill, but the amazing Laura Miele. She's a Chief Studio Officer at EA and started getting the team together for Skate 4 as soon as she got that job. She's the real hero. (And a beautiful woman, too).
Having in game skateshops was such a cool part of skate1, as a young skater back then being able to watch real pro's clips was huge
When it come to skate 4 here is my wish list:
•Continuous realistic map like S1
•A new logo creator
•Add impossibles
•Real voices for skaters. Reynolds character wasn’t voiced by him in S3
•Custom mocap for skaters
•And like Nightspeeds said a really good story mode
Plus grip tape customization
Don’t worry the game is coming in to existence because of the comments of the community. So all you’re wish will for sure get in the game.
Also some lesser known tricks would be nice
board breaking
Wait wtf Reynolds wasnt voicing his own character ? I thought he sounded kinda weird
I haven't seen any skate 1 gameplays and after seeing this I'm so surprised at how good it looks compared to XL and session
I have skate1, 2 and 3 and skater xl is much better in feeling
EA had so much potential with this series. Why stop it?? But it's good they are finally picking it back up.
i think pushing around/powersliding animationwise skate and skate 2 are more simulation-like. not in terms of freedom in trick selection
Skate 1 on xbox one is the shit
@@namedidii the powerslides sucked in 3, the res in skate 1 is the shit!
more pressure on hands rails is genius I never thought of that
Skate 1 has THE BEST aesthetics. I love how the bails look too, compared to Skate 2 and 3.
im hoping for skate 1 bails with air control in 4
in my opinion i think skate 2 has the best bails since there’s air control and animations and the ragdolls aren’t super stiff like in skate 3
My favorite is skate 2 it looks so gnarly when you fall
Skate 4 needs a day and night cycle, and a weather system.
Sunrise
Sunset
Day
Night
Overcast
Rain
was just about to say that. this is honestly my biggest wish for this game, imagine trying a trick or line over and over while the sun goes down and it gets darker and darker. ugh so beautiful.

NickP3arl maybe in the house your garden could be a customisable skate park. Very and street options. Could be interesting
We need the bail physics of skate 2 back, the skate 3 skater is as stiff as a plank of wood and it’s been bothering me for the past 10 years.
I disagree about easy mode. It has to go. Normal mode is easy enough. I don’t mind unrealistic tricks, I do hate tricklining though. It destroys multiplayer games of skate and own the spot

i love skate 2's map, and if they kept the suburbs it would be my favourite videogame city of all time.
alas, it doesnt, so i like the map of 1 better.
The animation and physics just feels and looks slightly better and more satisfying in skate 1 compared to skate 3.
the graphics in general but skate 3 is a bigger map so they had to downgrade the graphics
I just played skate 1 and skate 2 yesterday and it felt kind of refreshing after playing skaterXL and session for a while now
the overall gameplay in skate 1 and 2 is so much better than skate 3, the maps were more gritty and had such sick atmosphere
Some things I’d like to see
Bring back the teams from 3’s career mode

2007 game... it was incredible at the time. less mechanics, less tricks but it was smoother and more real compared to 2 and 3. it also had the best city.
Whatever they decide, they need to fix the last push animation, so the foot goes immediately to the board rather than starting another push
Hey nightspeeds, another reason to be able to get off your board, getting a running start for high speed in a tight space.
Also IMO my favourite parts of Skate1 are the aesthetic, the heavier physics, and the large continuous map that goes down a giant hillside.
Personally I'd love to see them go even larger with a high mountainside road going down into the res for some ridiculous downhill skating.
skate 2 had a mountain going into the res, but it kinda sucks IMO, and they removed the suburbs for it.
Please no loading screens, wayyy more storage for custom maps, better replay editor (with filmer mode and online replay editor).
Those are, to me, the most annoying parts of skate 3 today.
EA should definitely look HEAVILY into the aesthetic of this game for Skate 4.
We absolutely need the music from the first skate. The way the character looks shiny instead of pale like skate 3 and the Map in the first skate I agree it's the best they should just remodel and include the bridges the map is already perfect
Didn't even watch, but I can tell this video will be as good as always, love your channel dude 🔥
At least let video play all the way through I do that if it a game I'm not interesting in
the suburbs in skate 1 are awesome.
They should also use the pump button as a weight control button, so you can do slapplies, wallies etc
this doesn't work in 3, but in skate 1, you can pump to avoid flying out of roll-ins.
skate 1 was such a great game. i remember being 15 walking an hour to a walmart just to play the demo on their ps3 before i got one of the (then) new consoles.
I've put in so much time in all 3 of the games, and I legitimately don't remember the ditch area. At all. Now I wanna play it again.
Wallrides in this game are a joy and hippy flips look great and surprisingly arent as hard they were in skate 2 or 3
Great now i gotta dig out all 3 skates now and start all over and play them again! Which is fine, i love em all
"But look at the doors as well, the doors are realistic sizes"
**Shows door 2 times the size of his character...**
the tricks on skate 1 feel so nice
it would be awesome in skate 4 if they started with skate 1 and put the old town, mountain, res and waterfront from 2, with a new area to the side of downtown (a resort zone and airport?)
p.s. you can pump anyway you can crouch, and to make the spillway gap, do a nollie.
Skate 4 shouldn’t have to have true switch/ true fakie. It should be automatic based on the skaters’ stance
I mean it’s still gonna be better then all the other new skateboarding games coming out
@@djsubliminalreeve You do realize that SkaterXL was made by a small dev team, with unity, an engine known for creating ugly games?
A real money feature so u could buy a house and skateparks
I've been playing the hell out of skate 1 lately. I hate skate 3 and wish part 2 had backwards compatibility. Skate 3 just has some weird physics and doesn't feel like 1 and 2
it feels... off. especially the powerslides and backflips.
@@mr.jamster8414 yeah. I just can't put a finger on it but 3 is definitely not on the same level.
Bro skate should just go back to its roots and leave normal as default or just have normal and hardcore cause easy is way to easy
Honestly not gonna lie I liked the corporation part of skate 2 it added that skater vs cop aspect thought it was cool
I always loved to air the transition and wall ride over the doorway into the bank at regs 🤙🏻
Hahahah i could tell by your facial expressions you had to be careful about what you were gonna say about the elementary school
Skate one animations were so good
Enjoying all the uploads bro keep it up 🔥🔥
this has to be my favorit video by far, this was such a vibe
Here's my ideal Skate 4:
Visual Aesthetic from Skate 1, maybe also adding a VHS filter for more authentic graphics.
Difficulty settings from Skate 3. It was nice having more freedom to choose how you want to play the game.
Ragdoll from Skate 1 - 2. Just way better than the stiff ragdoll from skate 3.
Storyline from Skate 1. Felt more realistic
Park Creator from Skate 3. Only reason why I bought 3 over the first two. Lots of replayability.
Security from Skate 1 - 2. Made free roam more interesting than just freedom to skate wherever.
And a couple personal suggestions:
Day and Night cycle
More realistic city with suburb outskirts
More customization overall with tons of clothing, boards, and other parts that all affect how you do tricks. Ex: Wider boards flip slower but less likely to land sketchy, skinnier boards flip faster but more likely to land sketchy.
Still think the graphics of skate 1 are miles ahead of skate 3. Lovely shadows and depth!
ah man the nostalgia from this video. Absolutely love this game. Tho I've been playing skater xl and idk if i can ever go back to EA controls
Hope skate 4 has at least the same or even better skateboard physics than Skater XL, or else it will disappoint me
Damn bruh I don’t even remember the skate 1 map or barely even the skate 2 map 🗺
redownload 1, the map is insanely good. I measured it around 5-6 square kilometres, which is larger than any GTA city at the time of release. (about the same size as 3d LoS)
its technically the biggest, too, because 2 is 30% forest and 3 is like a small city that was scaled up. also the only one with suburbs.
Skate 1 and skate 2 was it for me to this day. Story mode. Maps. Everything
advice for session and XL devs.. patent yo flick systems ASAP!
Yess skate 1 has the best map. Another great video!
But here's what they SHOULDN'T Copy from Skate 1:
- Camera that just does whatever it wants.
- Overcrowded Jams.
- Can't get off board yet still putting stairs everywhere.
- Extremely long "follow me" missions.
- Unskippable "tech" challenges.
- NPC skaters and peds that just hang around and block spots.
- Unnecessary ledges on otherwise perfectly good ramps.
man skate 1 was awesome when it first came out great game
Glad you talk about Bastien Salabanzi!
That wasn't explained anywhere and the inability to do certain tricks pushed some people away from the hc mode even though otherwise they would've enjoyed it
nope, its the broken grinds.
*every real skater liked that* 🤘🏼
I think the same controls with just the right stick to do tricks is good but I think it would be sick if you could hold out different tricks like tre double flips and stuff.
Spots that replicate famous spots in New York, Philly, France and UK would also be really sick.
on skateboard 3 there is also the swinging of the body when turning, but only when it moves in a zigzag
Skateboard 3
*s k a t e b o a r d 3*
Skate 1 had so much style that they lost over time
I think a great story line for skate 4 would be something along the lines of a thrasher king of the road type challenge
My dream skate 4: skate 1 map, skate 3
Tricks, skate 3 difficulty (but kinda less pop off of full holds in HC cause that’s annoying) and maybe some like skate 1 type plot
Skate 1 and Tony Hawks Underground are the greatest sk8 games of all time imo
I’m too excited for the tony hawk remakes can you do videos on that when it comes out?
You should be able to apply wax and stuff on obstacles on realistic mode that would be sick
I'm really hoping they go back to skate1 and skate 2 style gameplay. I couldn't stand skate 3 because of how cartoonish the graphics felt
That’s what made skate 3 tho
Here’s my wish list
Realistic map
Open world (not too big though)
Graphics creator
Obviously better graphics
More tricks
Keep flipping your board (say you go to do a varial kickflip, keep the analog stick there and you’ll keep flipping the board)
Better radio/music
And a nice story mode
Couldnt agree more! Really wish their was a wind up to the rotations
Skate 2’s map was fire and had a lot more underrated spots that you could find going through town
i dunno about 2, it felt like the map was forcing me downtown and there wasn't really anything to skate elsewhere apart from the school or slappys.
I think they should have day/night cycles and during night there are more security guards
Jumping on the skate 4 wishlist bandwagon, here's a big ol' list of shit I would love to see:
Controls:
-Dual stick controls: would like to see some kind of hybrid of the best parts of skater xl's and sessions controls, e.g. skater xl's ability to control pop height by pulling front foot back & session's left foot/right foot vs front foot/back foot toggle
-flick/shove rotation speed, catch mechanics, ability to let the board continue to rotate/flip by holding triggers, just like we've seen in both skater xl and session.
-quicker set ups after landing would also be a big improvement both when hauling ass onto and off obstacles and skating shorter obstacles
Tricks:
-more lateflip variations, I'm talking late varials, late inwards, late hards, late 360 flips. Again with the ability to keep flipping rotating (think late 360 shuvs, late double flips).
-more no comply variations, shuvs, tres, lazers, whatever, there's so much more they could do with it if they got creative, also proper bs no complies would be nice (front foot plants on opposite side to where it would be for a fs no comply
-pressure flips, impossibles, toe flips, etc., ability click the stick(s) in before popping for whole new variety of tricks
-we have dark catches so how about being able to catch primo/primo slides
-more freestyle tricks? I'm thinking mainly of caspers and truckstands, maybe you could enter them by some variation of the dark catch mechanic (RB and a direction?), handstands would be cool too
-we also have those weird kickflip underflip things (that are actually 1/2 flip 1& 1/2 underflips) so why not alter it to allow for hospital flips & front foot impossibles
-ability to do tricks straight into/out of powerslides, also blunt/noseblunt powerslides
-wallies
-half decent wall rides where it isn't possible to skate along a wall for like half a minute
-lip tricks, they're doable in skate 3 but they look shit, maybe more invert variations too
-half decent reverts, again skater xl does a great job of this
-100% there's a bunch of other tricks I'm missing right now that they could include if they got more creative with their control system
Immersion/Replayability :
-a great map is obviously a must
-a half decent story mode (not just doing meaningless challenges for board sales)
-no skate game is complete without a half decent soundtrack
-skate shops, tying into that, some sort of in game currency could be a cool feature, tony hawk's project 8 'stokens' system was pretty sick
-day/night cycles
-being able to add wax to any surface, maybe ledges that don't slide well if wax isn't added
-an authentic street skating experience, i.e. skatestoppers (removable), guards, cops, kick outs (tie it into day/night cycles?), people sitting on ledges, etc.
-ability for boards to snap occasionally, with the likelihood increasing when skating large drops
-realistic, challenging contests. You could possibly even take inspiration from fifa and have an in game calendar and contest circuit with decent rewards for participating in the contests when they come around.
Community:
-an improved park editor (custom shaping of ramps, rails, etc. might be cool, would definitely allow for more versatility)
-make it easier to find other peoples parks, the interface in skate 3 is an absolute mess
-also make it easier to find other people, and allow more than 6 in a lobby
-an improved central feed/hub, community events and contests would be nice too
-improve games of skate, i.e. register tricks properly (late flips just aren't registered in skate 3 online games of skate). You could also make them 100x more interesting by allowing for games of skate on different obstacles
-other game modes, battle royale maybe? Or borrow ideas from the minigames in the tony hawk games, some of those were pretty fun (graffiti was dope)
-finally I'm sure cross platform & pc would also make a lot of people happy
You should make a personal wishlist video of what you want in Skate 4
they should add more options into games of skate and also add way more cosmetic elements like grip tape and other stuff
This is a great year for skateboarding games👌👍
Nice video skate feels odd now I can barely play it I'm so use to session lol
Skate 3 wide camera angle is goals
