I'd place this resort in my top 3 favorite LTE videos, the other 2 being the Malawane in Africa and North Island Seychelles. Excellent pool walking--the pools are simply stunning, as is China Beach. Only thing I would change is putting the bathtub in the bathroom, not the living/sleeping area. Too Las Vegas for my taste, although the tub is beautiful and thankfully is not heart-shaped-lol. So pristine--I didn't even see any dead fronds in the palm trees or on the ground! Thanks, Dr. LTE, for another fascinating vlog. Oh, the X-jet blade was so cool!
I'm afraid I'm not a fan of the over-the-water villas. If you're onshore eating in the restaurant or enjoying the beach, your view is blocked by the villas. But the sparkling clear water is very enticing and there are probably no annoying giant insects to bother you :-) I would stay at Soneva Jani if I was forced to-lol.
I don't know if you haven't already done so earlier, but if you do visit the Philippines, be sure to stay at the historic Manila Hotel, which was built in 1909 (and opened in 1912) after the United States defeated Filipino insurgents and officially made the Philippine archipelago an American colony. It also once served as a home to General Douglas MacArthur and his family before the outbreak of the Second World War in the Pacific. Also worth visiting is Baguio, which can fairly be considered the American equivalent of Simla, the British summer capital in India. Within Baguio is Camp John Hay (named after the American Secretary of State under President William McKinley) with two top-rated hotels: the Manor and Forest Lodge.
What a stupendous place! Lovely ripply water, lovely ocean. I would however, have no end of trouble. I can't manage stairs very well. I need solid balustrades under my hand before I attempt a set of stairs. Plus the cane in the other hand. So even the rooms would defeat me.
Yeah ;) ... I am a bit of an exception in the world of 'vloggers' ... I prefer to keep my total anonymity ... In addition, I am not a huge fan of vloggers that keep talking through their videos, but that is a personal preference ;)

Service was excellent (and comparable) at both resorts. Amanoi is still my favorite, because of (1) its phenomenal hillside setting in a national park; and (2) its more intimate character (the FS has 100 rooms while Amanoi has only around 30 villas. FS has a better beach though, better and more varied food offerings, and also its fabulous pool area is unbeatable.
Its probably nice to travel the world and stay at these amazing resorts.The sad thing in these covid times they are all most likely decimated due to travel resyrictions.

Loved the long walk through the resort, gave a real idea of the scope of the place. Please, please, please get a muffler for your mic, or learn to mute wind noise during edit!! This has always been my pet peeve whilst watching your otherwise brill vlogs.

The water was not that clear (lot of current in it). I am not sure of they would allow filming with a drone ...

Yes, that resorts is in my top 5. It is more serene and more luxurious than FS Maui. Rates depend on the season.
