- How to Grow Summer Vegetable Sinqua/Ridge Gourd/Luffa/Turai in Pots - In this video you would learn everything about growing one of the most ignored tasty summer vegetable "Sinqua" in containers. Sinqua also known as Ridge Gourd, Luffa, Turai or Turiya and it's a popular summer vegetable in some parts of India. Believe me, it's awesomely tasty and very very easy to grow.
I grew my Sinqua plants on terrace and have been harvesting on a continuous basis. Our little ANGEL loves it very much and that's the ultimate satisfactory thing, you can feel it, right?
Believe me, growing Ridge Gourd in pots is really very easy, you only need to manage the trellis. So, please start growing it and be healthy by eating organically grown kitchen vegetables.

Please tell us about the problems and remedies. Our cucumbers went very bad. Now tomoto plant coming well. Full of small and medium tomotos. But the leaves are turning yellow with black and yellow lines.

@Punam Bisht, Thank you Ma'am, appreciate it. As per my knowledge, there is no 3G and 4G cuttings in the book of Agriculture. 3G and 4G got added just after 4G launch in India. And, not needed to do anything - like 3G or 4G

@Trupti Shewale, Female flowers usually take some time...but still, you can apply Boric Acid. Dose - 5 grams/1 liter water and then spray on the leaves of the plants. Thank you :-)

From where did you buyed the seeds sir
@Sriganesh ayapa, I bought it from local store. Anyway, I got the problem and it's not because of seeds. They are turning yellow at very early stage, right? This is happening because of lack of pollination. You would need to pollinate the female flowers manually. I would upload a video in 2-3 days showing the exact procedure. Anyway, manual pollination is easy. To do that, you would need to carry the pollen from a male flower to the female blossoms. You can use either a brush or just finger. Anyway, I would show it ASAP!
U've not mentioned in how many days the seeds will germinate & how much time it took for u to get ur 1st harvest.

@sup das, they are mostly grown in Rainy/Summer season and can't survive in Winter season. You can sow the seeds in Mid - End Feb and you would be able to harvest almost after 40-50 days. My plants died in the end of September and so you can say, they would live for about 6-7 months. However, you may get different results as it depends on climate as well. @Shreenalina Nalina, We would need to pollinate female flowers in case there is a lack of natural pollinators like Bees, Butterfly etc..If the ridge gourds are turning yellow/light gray at very early stage, means there is lack of pollinators and the time we would nee to pollinate ourselves. I would try to do a video about it, thank you :-)
