I've had good luck with that LA Totally Awesome, I got mine at the Dollar General for like 6 bucks for a gallon. Hopefully the work on the interior will work to keep your side windows in.👍👍
Hey Link I've been watching your videos and I really enjoy them. I've been building since 1976. A lot of modelers soak they're models in DOT brake fluid with good success. Nail polish remover is nothing more than acetone and it'll melt plastic. A lot of the old school modelers use to use acetone as model glue because it melts the parts together like tamiya thin cement. As far as gluing glass I've used nothing but evergreen canopy glue in a bottle with a needle applicator for years with great success. If you get canopy glue on the glass it dries clear so it's not noticeable like other glues. Hope this helps you out.
Great video and really cool score on the hockey game, I haven't seen one of those since I was a kid (they were before my time, being born in '73) 😁 I've never had much of any good luck stripping paint myself (no problems stripping chrome parts, just paint). The Duster is looking really good! If the purple pound doesn't work, I will use Isopropyl Alcohol 91% and that will usual work. That's a really cool Hockey table. I used to have one of those vibrating football games when I was younger.
i just saw a video and what he did to remove paint was he air brushed mr hobby paint thinner on then work it with a tooth brush one area at a time... it looked pretty efffective
If you're referring to nail polish remover...? It will remove the body too. It's good for removing CA/Krazy/super glue. But again...will also remove what you're removing it from. If LA's Totally Awesome will not remove uour paint, try: - Super Clean (from automotive department) - brake fluid - oven cleaner These are also effective for removing plating. Also good for removing plating from plastic: - ammonia - bleach - all of the above listed for removing paint. Different paints and plating react different to various chemicals. If one doesn't work, keep trying until you find one that does.
@ no problem I put minis in a glass dish ! Easy clean up remember to use gloves to protect ur hands I use ally let sit in it for a few hrs then rinse w soaps and warm water! Dry and let sit then redo the process! There maybe some residual color remaining just replace once ur. Ready
