    The man sitting at the bar who asked him to spell his name is the original DJANGO. What Jamie Fox said was a quote from that man

      Yep that’s why Jamie says “D-J-A-N-G-O.. The D’s silent” and he responds with…
      “I know.”
      The actor was breaking the fourth wall. It was a nice little Easter egg of dialogue.

    • @maralinekozial9131
      @maralinekozial9131 6 місяців тому +3

      Ehhh Inglorious Bastards is a well written & acted film but it's also the most overrated film of all time!!!! Tarantinos other films are actually way better!!!! I honestly don't like when people make fake war films because it's apart of history & I find it disrespectful considering historical facts should be told proper especially when so many ppl literally died for their countries!!!! I get that sounds hypocritical cuz Django is based on history but also made up too but it works cuz it's a feel good movie & it still feels authentic to actual events that happened , Inglorious Bastards doesn't!!!!! It's as Hollywood as it gets!!!! I actually put it as my least favorite Tarantino film for those reasons I mentioned!!!!
      As far as all Tarantino films this is my list considering I'm a cinephile & a actual OG Tarantino fan from the 90's & I been watching his films as a kid ever since Pulp Fiction came out in 94 on VHS & my mom's bf rented it , this is his movies ranked in my order :
      1# Reservoir Dogs
      2# Pulp Fiction
      3# From Dusk Till Dawn
      4# Django Unchained
      5# Once Upon A Time In Hollywood
      6# Kill Bill
      7# Jackie Brown
      8# The Hateful Eight
      9# Inglorious Bastards
      10# Death Proof
      Four Rooms & Natural Born Killers & True Romance & Desperado are all written by him & are also good but u can tell that they aren't really Tarantino - ish as much so I can't count them!!!! From Dusk Till Dawn isn't directed by him either but it's still all him considering he starred in it & wrote it & picked the cast & music , he just didn't direct it!!!!!!

      He was the smartest one of them all, he played himself to a secret master of the house
      Only Tarantino has the brain and balls to write characters like that

    • @NandR
      @NandR 5 місяців тому +2

      @@gingerbaker_toad696 It's like so many characters that find themselves in a perfect spot. Tywin Lannister was never King, but he ruled as a part of 4 Kings. Mad King, Robert, Joffrey, Tommen. Either as Hand of the King or simply a grandfather, his word moved kingdoms. Everyone wants to kill the king, but never the one who runs it from the shadows.

    I'm not sure if you girls realize this, but the way you change certain scenes to black and white, almost cartoonish is a Tarantino trait. That is how he kept many of his films R rated, especially Kill Bill. Too much blood and it wouldn't have kept it's R rating. Well done.

    • @little_kawala_baby5761
      @little_kawala_baby5761 5 місяців тому +4

      He also did that in natural born killers too i believe

    • @amccoy6055
      @amccoy6055 5 місяців тому +5

      @@little_kawala_baby5761Tarantino did not direct Natural Born Killers. He didn’t even write the screenplay, only the original story was his. The final film was Oliver Stone.

    • @patrickevans9604
      @patrickevans9604 4 місяці тому +2

      Yea his prolific use of blood spray on deaths tends to make the rating board wanna give his movies an X rating for extreme gore but the black and white helps keep it with an r rating because I guess it's supposed to be less bloody looking without color or some dumb reasoning like that. Tarantino is an amazing writer and director

    I love the "easter eggs" in this film as Franco Nero appears in the wrestling scene who played Django in the 1966 movie and the end music from a Terence Hill movie who also played Django in 1968.

    • @tileux
      @tileux 6 місяців тому +4

      Its slightly better than that. When franco nero’s character asks him to spell his name, Django does, then says ‘the d is silent’. And franco nero’s character replies ‘i know’. And of course he does - he was the original django. And his tone in the reply is perfect. Hes not acknowledging the spelling tip. Hes saying ‘im very familiar with the name’.

      There's actually a funny joke/easter egg in the credits too.
      The man with the white beard and brown top hat who gawks at Schultz and Django is Russ Tamblyn who was in the western Son of a Gunfighter. His daughter Amber was the girl peering through the window. They're credited as "Son of a Gunfighter" and "Daughter of the Son of a Gunfighter."

    During one of the early takes Leo actually cut his hand on the glass and Tarantino thought it would add to the tone of the scenes, so they ended up actually implementing it into the scene. But the scene you see in the movie isn't actually the improvised incident but rather the improved and planned version of it, despite what people say.

    Stephen is smart and a part of this because he's in a position of personal safety and power and people given that option often are willing to ignore any solidarity with the people they go on to abuse. You can see the same thing happening in the British Raj in India and depending on the era the same antagonism between management and workers. In the late 1800s-early1900s it would have been abuses leading to all out warfare and mid 1900s on just massive strikes and legal battles the atrocities some of us are willing to do for a little bit of power and comfort

    20:16 this part is a small cameo from the original actor who played Django in the original movie that Quentin Tarantino was inspired to do this. Proving Quentin Tarantino is an amazing writer.

    You two should know that Doc Holliday was in fact a dentist before he became a professional gambler.

    Nice reaction by two lovely ladies ❤️! If you liked Christoph Waltz as Dr Shultz, you will hate him as Colonel Hans Landa in inglorious Basterds. He earned two Oscars for his acting 🎭 Of course I will subscribe!!!

    Samuel L. Jackson as Stephen steals all the scenes that he is in. The employee of the Laquint Dickey Mining Company with the bad Australian accent (that Django blow up) is Quentin Tarantino. During the intense Dining Room Table scene Leonardo DiCaprio cuts his hand badly on a broken glass. He contined the scene with a bleeding hand. DiCaprio had trouble saying the "N' word. Samuel Jackson convinced him that it was OK to say the word since it was appropriate for his Character during that time period.
