- Well this is something different! Couple of our friends are huge wrestling fans and I definitely used to be back in the day + I've ALWAYS enjoyed Royal Rumbles for the sheer randomness and chaos. If it's not your cup of tea just pass on this video, if it is and you like our reaction, let us know!

Fun fact, this was NOT the first time AJ Styles was in a WWE ring.
He wrestled The Hurricane on Jakked, January 26th 2002.

Fun fact though: Sami Zayn was on NXT for 2 years already when Owens debuted. Owens was just promoted to the main roster first.
+AG Tex Sami was promoted to the main roster first on May 4th, he got injured in that match, so then they had Kevin Owens take Sami Zayns place and Owens debut was on May 18th.

Sami Zayn is big superstar outside WWE, like Kevin Owens. He was El Generico in indies. He could be next Daniel Bryan or CM Punk in WWE.

Vince McMahon still makes all the decisions for WWE, which is why WWE still kinda sucks these days. It has been better in the last few weeks, but they still have a long way to go in turning things around. Triple-H runs NXT. That's HIS baby. All indications seem to suggest that once Triple-H does start controlling WWE, there is gonna be some MAJOR changes for the better. I'm sure Triple-H has no problems with carrying the product for a few months, but there is no doubt in my mind this was 100% a Vince McMahon decision. Cena's injured, Orton's injured, Rollins is injured and Daniel Bryan still isn't medically cleared. Ratings have been slipping more and more almost every week. They needed something big to go into Wrestlemania with, and Roman Reigns would of been a bad choice. I'm sure a lot of fans wouldn't of minded Dean Ambrose, but there is also just as many who wouldn't give a shit. There is too many casual fans in wrestling these days, and they don't care about people like Dean Ambrose, Kevin Owens and AJ Styles. I watched Raw the other night, and AJ barely got a reaction. It's because Royal Rumble brings out all the hardcore wrestling fans, even if they haven't watched for years. AJ got a huge reaction at the Royal Rumble, because REAL wrestling fans appreciate his work and know EXACTLY who he is. Those fans on Raw this week, was a typical WWE audience these days. THey don't know shit, and they don't care about the wrestlers they should care about. Instead you have girls who barely watch the product drooling over Roman Reigns, and little kids acting like he's the greatest thing in wrestling.
+HBKCommish Hit the nail on the head there and you also informed me quite a bit! I haven't known the state of wrestling in a while. Hopefully HHH can usher in a new era that rewards the hard working performers and wrestlers and not just the ones that pop the most with the generic fans. If anything he should use this sort of generic fanboy vs hardcore fanboy thing to his advantage and create a storyline out of it.
Nothing is going to change when HHH takes over because unlike on the main shows, NXT is on THEIR network so they answer to no one. RAW ratings have been going up since the night after TLC and a big reason for that is Vince being on television more often, don't be a smark bro. Those casuals that you complain about support the product and help shape things more then the so called "real wrestling fans"
Sebastian Greyjoy NXT being on their own Network doesn't have anything to do with it. You act like Vince McMahon is at the mercy of advertisers or something. WWE can still be PG and entertaining, but it's NOT!!! And yes, that has a lot to do with Vince McMahon. Whether it's behind the scenes or as a character on screen, it's all bad! I understand the casuals keep the WWE going. But there was a time, when WWE wasn't a slave to the casual fans and now they are, and it's a serious problem. There is most definitely a problem within WWE, and it can be fixed. There is nothing wrong with me or anyone else pointing it out. You seem to be all over the place with what you're trying to say. Like do you agree with me or not? You're kind of the one coming across as a smark, no?

Actually AJ Styles Wrestled a couple of matches years ago for the WWE. He was part of WCW development when the WWE Bought WCW. He even wrestled in WCW as part of a tag team. I think they were called Air Styles or something like that. They are on youtube his earlier WWE matches.
This was at least a better rumble than the past 2. I actually believed Bray and Dean were gonna pull it of.

I know this was from last year and I get that you didn't know him back then, and I see others in the comments have also pointed it out, but when you said "some NXT guy" in regards to Sami Zayn when he eliminated Kevin Owens, I was kinda insulted. Huge Sami fan, and it made me a bit sad for you to be disregarding him like that, also his and Owens' history. I know you didn't mean anything bad, and I always enjoy your reactions, but I just felt the need to comment this. :)

In 1999 Royal Rumble Stone Cold Steve Austin went on stretchers to ambulence during royal rumble match, so it's like Reigns.
+Poldi Klapzuba Ah I guess I didn't see that one all the way through. But I do remember Shawn Michaels lasting throughout. Idk I just feel like it's a cop out to have them go away and come back and it doesn't really count/isn't impressive. Just my opinion though! I know it's gotta be TOUGH to have enough stamina to perform in there for an hour or so. I mean Chris Jericho was laying on the ground for 60% of this rumble.

That's exactly my problem with Reigns. They always secure him.. They should've had him in the match from the start until the end. That would've been a good way to put him over, make him look strong (pun intended).
