Wakan Gli is the name of the sacred white buffalo calf. Its name means sacred return or comes holy.
Over 500 people gathered in West Yellowstone to witness the special event. For some officials, it’s an astonishing day to honor this sacred animal.

Let’s hope this one survives to adulthood and have a calf of their own. This is due to that albino animals (which can happen to any animal, including humans) are easier to spot, for predators, due to no camouflage.

What is wrong with "Snowball"?????
Well, for one thing it doesn't translate into Lakota very well. For another, it diminishes the calf's religious significance to believers. It'd be like calling The Christ 'Hairy' or the Dalai Lama 'Old Baldy'.

So......are they planning on sacrificing this one as well...??? The white buffalo originally signified starvation and was killed by a rider on a horse and every part was used. Considering we live in a place with over abundance where there is literally no excuse for starvation, and humanity would rather gorge and trash this place then to make sure everyone has a plate.....my guess is this calf would signify this and it would be the confirmation over our over abundance and neglect of our star and that would mean DOOM. In my humble opinion. Originally there was a horse and rider and a white woman with a message of peace who was a smoker. So the white buffalo in the original storyline was just one aspect, there were others that were involved that would solidify this.
Better hope I don't see it. It'll be some albino beef jerky or should I say bison jerky
