I came from Katowice to Warsaw to visit my friends. I am interested in automation and robotics, so I was very excited to see the robot in the Zabka store chain that prepares hotdogs on its own. On the spot, I happily started recording the hotdog making process for a keepsake. I was hoping for a delicious hotdog, but the robot had other plans. The film shows my and my girlfriend's reactions to the situation. It was hilarious! After the incident, we called a store employee to help us order a hotdog prepared in the correct way. The whole situation turned out quite ironic considering the fact that I came fascinated by the robot, and I showed everyone its slip-up!

What's needed is a hybrid Neurosurgery ready hot dog maker, but on the down side, if the AI goes wrong, we could all end up eating brains soon 😂🧠🌭

The thing has not enough visual and none haptic feedback. Buns and sausages are not perfect in shape , so these errors will occur. The whole żabka robot thing is rather a marketing stunt than a business idea
Yeah, it definitely more about marketing. You don't need fancy robotic arm to make hotdogs, it could be done much cheaper, simpler and more reliable. But then you wouldn't have all that hi-tech show behind the glass.
But it also proves important point. Some jobs will never be replaced by robots. Too much investment to compensate for what can go wrong when you can just hire anyone to do it.

I prefer a human making my hotdog and not a stupid machine made up by a bunch of dum engineer. Just to cut some job and trying to make more money for the investor.
Beside who guaranty me that no people piss in that delivery box. I will stay far from it.
