Yeah, us losing Demko would be really bad, but its not as bad as people think, DeSmith is a guy who can play that starter role while Demko is hurt, he's the backup we were wanting in Holtby and Halak, but those guys never got in the groove, and our defense was pretty shit around them, but I can see DeSmith winning us games if Demko got hurt at some point during the season.

It's the president's trophy curse, once you stopped winning it, the team was able to play to it's full potential.
Also I love the Demmers replacement, in his first cup run, had 2 shutouts in the first 2 elimination games and really just carried his team to the wins when the boys weren't scoring

Yo for prospects to develop you’ve got a let them play in the AHL if they’re less than an 80+ overall that’s why you’ve got make sure they have good chemistry in the NHL and then in the NHL because he could’ve developed until like maybe an 87+ defenseman for you

28:20 that game auto adjusts contracts at the start of any franchise for teams that are not cap compliant in EA land (without the live day by day cap and without LTIR). So Colorado with Landeskog on LTIR irl is like 5 mil over the cap or something so every player on their team gets their contract value reduced when you start a new save. For my custom roster I adjust just 1 or maybe 2 players that are on 1 year deals so someone like Makar doesn’t have his contract adjusted for the next 5 seasons or whatever.
