- In this video, Justin and Scott show you how "EASY" it is to install a brand new MyMachinist RG Gauge Relocation kit as well a new billet top tree w/ steering damper and a set of 10" MYM Risers. However, due to the nature of the last set of risers installed on this 2018 H-D Road Glide, there were some issues that included stuck hardware and pinched wires. Though the video doesn't go into detail the hurdles they had to overcome to fixed those problems, hopefully it answered a few questions you may have when installing a similar setup on you Harley Davidson Motorcycle, given your bike hasn't been hacked on already. We also show off a new finish that will be offered for the gauge kit, as well as explaining how to retro fit a newer RG fairing to your older model.
This isn't a video to replace use of the factory service manual. If you are unsure of some of the things within this video, or need assistance locating certain components, please refer to the factory H-D service manual. As always, any other questions you may have, please feel free to leave a comment below!
Thanks for watching, PLEASE don't forget to LIKE, SUBSCRIBE, and SHARE, and we will catch you on the next video!

Working on bikes with friends is the best part of the lifestyle.
Completely agree!!
Good stuff! Showing what can happen during a "typical" install is great!
A 5 min job always turns into a 5 hour job. 😂
Badass gauge kit! I bought an Electra glide standard because I didn’t want Harley’s infotainment system. I added Bluetooth and 600 watt amp with marine grade speakers. Best set up ever. Great job fellas!
Right on! Sounds like a solid setup for sure!
This is one of the best videos to date. Keep them coming. It’s nice to see everyone just bull shitting in the shop while turning wrenches.
We def had a good time. Lol
When did the guy from diesel Brothers start making bike parts?
😂😂😂
I am also guilty for using red locktite on risers. I have aluminium bars on my thrashin riser. I do not want them coming loose. I haven't seen it with the thrashin yet. However I have seen many other T bar risers come loose.
Red is just a bit too aggressive. If you want to secure them, blue is best to use on parts that you may be taking off and on
sweet vid. whats the name of the intro song?
It’s called Verified Picasso by Ruins of the World
What bike ja j
What (jack) / info on the lift your using?
Just a simple Jack from Harbor Freight
I’ve been debating this mod hard. Does anybody have info on a how too hook up that jl Bluetooth he mentioned?
I’m pretty sure it’s just plug and play, if you place an order with Justin, he has the info on the plug in module for sure and can send you a link via IG or email I’m sure
Where can you get the top clamp and damper?
Mymachinistdesigns.com has them listed on the website.
Do you need to change triple tree to install risers or can you install to stock triple tree?
You can install risers to the stock triple tree. The only reason many upgrade the top triple tree is because when you remove all the plastic shrouds that surround the gauges on a Road Glide, you’re left with an ugly looking factory top tree. The new top tree just makes everything look better
@Me.MyMachinist.and.l awesome thank you for the response. Eventually i do plan to change the triple tree i just wanted to go slow cus it is a pricy set up. Thank you soo very much for the response
