This is just the introduction to Daiwa’s style of creek fishing reel with some smart technology. It had for a year and finally got around to using it. If you own that model can you leave a comment I have a few questions for you. In this video I’m throwing the Nikkobaits waxworm. Going below what is recommended buy 2 grams 😂 “unrealistic casting” I’m throwing these lures around to test smoothness before upgrading to throw micro stuff. I put it to the test 3 different ways with the out of the box setup. I wanted another Daiwa to throw in the mix. Let’s see what this reel is all about.
Please do not hesitate to drop your personal thoughts on the reels, rods, or video all support is greatly appreciated!!

Nice work Earl!
Thank you thank you Paul 🫱🏿🫲🏼
Yo! These animations are crazy doe, you go in detail with all the products that you use, You got a sub from me for sure!
Appreciate your time thanks 😊 🙏🏾
Another great video mate. Great place for testing and you caught some fish. Great summary. Those baits look the business.
Thanks sir!!
Earl you making me want an alphas frame haha. No no no I shall resist!!! The silver creek does look pretty good though with those cork knobs and the brown color. Nice video as always and look forward to seeing the super duper ultralight stuff! Cheers buddy!
Of these frames this one is my favorite. If it's still on sale at plat grab it. Out of the box it's not my favorite actually pretty low on the list. Getting around to the micro stuff.
From the left hand 🤣 I'm crying lol Same reel here, put it on a finetail glass. Ill be fishing for Yamame in Kobe, Japan this year as well as a trip to Sado Island. Needed something for the dense overgrowth in small mountainous streams here in Japan. Looking at AX22 spool upgrade. (MG version costs more than the reel did). I also wish to upgrade all the bearings. Love the content! It's been valuable for my research!
Noiiiicccce!! For me the roro model wasn't much of an upgrade because it has a non moving inductor already bit the spool I have now is discontinued and it was a dynamic inductor so I try to have both when it came to the silver creek but let me know how you like it when you get it
@@The_Multi-species_Angler I wanted the fixed over the dynamic, distance will not be as much of a concern as accuracy and horizontal casting. The locals here stressed a moderate rod to load the lighter lures. BFS is new to me and I'm just going off of what the Japanese guys I'm going with are telling me and what little I can pull off the net. It's how I fell on your channel. So far I've got a lot of valuable info, so thanks a lot!
@@justinkayce9811 definitely take their word they are the creators of this style. I just used the idea to orchestrate my own personal version of this niche style of fishing.
Left hand casting 😂 and missing fishing. Keep the net close to you man!!
Lefty lefty ambidextrous casting!! Honestly 4 grams and up I can cast with both hands but a left hand reel is backwards tighty righty lefty loosey. Taking apart a left hand reel is no joke. I added the weather and water conditions back too!! 🫱🏿🫲🏼
I'm really struggling trying to decide between the Silver Creek and the Gekkabijin. I already have Roro bearings that will fit either, and I also have bearings here to upgrade the worm shaft, and handle if needed on the Silver Creek. If you upgrade to the same amount of bearings, are they basically the same reel? If that's the case, I guess it would just come down to color. I was hoping I could get some input from you to help me choose!
@@danspanos after upgrading both I like the silver creek way more even though they kinda cast close to the same. I would stick with the silver. But keep in mind the gekka is salt water if you ever plan to use in salt water.
@@The_Multi-species_Angler Thanks Earl! I appreciate all of your help! I live in Michigan, so it's all fresh water for me. You've definitely made up my mind!
The rod you built it yourself or you have it custom built?
I build boss but on a builder's break 😆
